What is your writing process?
I don't think of my writing as the kind of writing that requires a process. It's more of a free flow creative thing that comes when it comes. In that respect if I had a thing called a process it would really be like - here are the things I do that helps me pass the time while I wait for the creative bug to land... In that sense one thing that has developed into a practice for me is meditation. Getting still and quiet, I find, is an important component to being in the flow.
It's in that flow that ideas that are in alignment with who I am seem to come the easiest - or if I have an idea I am better able to get to a place to flesh it out. KRUMBLS took a long time - like over 15 years to get to a published product and not just an idea floating in my head that I was constantly talking about.
What do you read for pleasure?
For pleasure, in the age of the internet, I would say I read a lot of book snippets. Some of my favorite writers are Neville Goddard, Florence Scovel Shinn, Rev. Ike, Khalil Gibran, Louise Hay, Emmett Fox, Robert Heinlein, Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, Frank Herbert, J.R.R. Tolkien, Octavia Butler, Arthur Conan Doyle, Richard Wright and so many more. So it depends on how I'm feeling in the moment which genre I'll pick up and then it depends on the book whether I see it through to it's end or just until I had a fix then off to another book....
