But I feel like maybe I am missing something. This is a very easy-to-read short story that is really great by itself but I do not know if there are any other books to go with this that might help me get the gist of the story. This author has already proven he is an awesome writer and now I see why! He is very good. More story please! I love this author and find everything I have read of hers (so far) has been exceptional. This book is no different. This story captured me from the start and then, of course, I could not put it down. I love these books put out by this author as well as the anthologies she puts together. This has an awesomely cute book cover and a wonderful short story about the Dutch customs during the celebration of Sinterklaas - I hope I spelled that correctly. So there were a few parts that I was not totally clear on during the first read-through but this is culture and I loved it. Thanks so much to the author for sharing. This is an excellent sci-fi that is perfect-paced with plenty of action. I love this book. I was hooked immediately/from the start wanting to know what happens to Nya and Vel. This is an incredibly cute and short story that is so much fun. If you love dogs (or just all animals, even people, like I do) then you will enjoy this book. I read it with the kids I work with and they loved it and they loved Pepper and friends. I am looking forward to the next book.
