I'm Pete Buckley the UK based indie author of "The Colonel of Krasnoyarsk" a high speed adventure thriller in which the reader is introduced to Russian Agent Colonel Yuri Medev and Jim Bergman of the FBI who must overcome political differences and work together to defeat a dangerous enemy - perhaps some of our politicians should read it to find out how. I have just finished the next Yuri Medev adventure entitled "The Kirov Conspiracy" due for release soon, while previously I wrote a couple of travel stories about various wonderful places such as New Zealand and the Swiss Alps. Aside from writing, travel has always been a big inspiration with hiking, biking and the outdoors taking up much of my time when I'm not looking after the kids. Thanks for visiting

When did you first start writing?
In high school though it was much more recently that I got around to publishing my work. I think the internet and the revolution in self publishing made the difference there.

Traveling by camper van is one of the best ways to see this fascinating country and the route itself is perhaps one of the finest journeys in the world. If your love is for nature, the outdoors and the freedom of the open spaces, then this is for you.
A Long Walk in the Alps recounts a hike through the mountains of Switzerland from Grindelwald in the Bernese Oberland to Zermatt in the Valais. I recently chose Smashwords to publish my first novel, and was approved first time around to the Premium List. If I hadn't read the Style Guide first I would certainly have had to format it again. It's easy to understand and essential reading before you submit your story. Time well spent!
