Peter Alan Turner

Biography

I have been a construction worker, a fork truck operator, and vice president of marketing and sales. I've clean bathrooms and flown in corporate jets. I know the horror of war and the true love of a beautiful woman.

I try to bring all these life experiences to my writing. Writing has always been a lifelong dream. Finally, at 71 years young, that dream has become a reality with the publication of my first book, "Da Nang Damned". This book has been buzzing around in my head for nearly 50 years! By drawing on my own Vietnam, experience and years spent living in Northern New England, will hopefully, make this book seem alive, authentic and a great read.

I am donating 100% of all profits from "Da Nang Damned" to Carroll County Veterans Independence Project (VIP). VIP will renovate an old army reserve building into a shelter and training center for veterans.

Smashwords Interview

What do your fans mean to you?
Fans are everything! I define fans as friends, friends that even though we have never met, enjoy reading my books and have similar interest. Fans/friends help each other. I will do my share by creating great and timely stories with interesting and likable characters, except of course for the bad guys! If you like my books you will help spread the word.
What are you working on next?
Right now I'm finishing my short collection of poems called "Stardust" I wrote these poems a couple of years ago in a burst of "poetic creativity". Since then I have not been inspired to write more poetry. Maybe it's because my ninth grade English teacher is tossing in her grave saying "Enough is Enough!"

Aside from my poems I have finished the second novel in my Rick O'Neil-Ted Troutman Adventure Series. The book is called "Death Is Never Pretty!" and continues where "Da Nang Damned!" left off. The book is now in the hands of my editor. Finally, I am beginning the third book in the series which is tentatively titled "Night Whisperers!".
