Smashwords book reviews by Alex Hansen

  • Jim Fosse's Expense Claim on May 03, 2014

This is well worth the short time it takes to read. It's entertaining the way the story unfolds and then spirals out of control. It's funny without ever being too silly and it's dark without becoming too creepy. I don't laugh out loud much when I read, but this gave me a few chuckles!
  • When I Was Not Myself on June 15, 2015

    Fascinating, thoughtful, and richly narrated.
  • A Murder of Crows on July 26, 2016

It starts off as nothing earth-shattering, but don't let that fool you—this story has a few tricks up its sleeve. The creepiness of the crows builds steadily into a fury of confusion and terror, finally culminating in a truly unsettling, truly shocking ending. It's a quick read with a delicious payoff!
