Rare Talents was an interesting and easy read. For a short story it set up a lot of great detail but still left me wanting more. With main character, Parker, there is a lot of potential. More information about her relationship with her mother could offer the reader more of an emotional connection. All in all, I enjoyed the story and the prospective for its development. I do like that it is in short story format, but I wish there was a little more back story. I think if the details were fleshed out a little more it could be an even more compelling piece.
