Bogan Gate

Bogan Gate was born in the 1952 in the outlying colony of Australia.
Heavily influenced by the writer Gerald Durrell he left school at 16 to became a zoo keeper at Taronga Park Zoo in Sydney and went on a wildlife expedition throughout the outback and north of Australia as an animal collector with the naturalist Harry Butler.
He returned to Sydney and took a position as an assistant stage manager at the Music Hall at Neutral Bay where he learnt the art of stage craft. After a brief history as a hippy roaming in the north of Australia between Cairns and Darwin he returned to Sydney where he studied poetry theater and mime. He produced his first professional stage show at 19. At 20 he worked behind the scenes in television and obtained his first paid writing gig writing a story for Playschool.
Bogan then went on to write "theater of the absurd" and poetry. After a stint with the Queensland Theater Company Bogan returned to Sydney and founded a mime company which he toured throughout Australia under various Arts Counsels and private concerns, including his own. From the late '70's he spent most of his time to-ing and fro-ing between Australia, London and Los Angeles while continuing to tour throughout the Australian outback .
During the early '90's Bogan bought a yacht and sailed the east cost of Australia from Hobart to Cairns and back as a Seafaring theater, but wound up doing more seafaring than theatering. Adventures abounded in his life. He has worked as the skipper of a dive boat in the Whitsundays, the first mate of a barge in the Arafura Sea north of Australia, and he studied in his mid to late 40's and became a lawyer, and has worked as a fisheries officer boarding vessels in the Antarctic and the northern tropical waters between Australia and Indonesia.
Is this true... or is he just a little person with a vivid imagination sitting in a room on his own making it all up... I don't know?
