Prachi Gangwal

Biography

My name is Sanskrit word for the direction East, where the Sun rises from. I am passionate about indulging in visual arts and writing. I studied to become a civil engineer and added knowledge about energy auditing, Ayurveda, yoga and wellness coaching to my education pallet. Engineering is my past and surfaces in the way I do things. I am a writer, photographer and a wood craft hobbyist . I also love to share my experiences in the wellness realm.

As a Photographer, my journey has been long and enriched by my never ending zest to capture splendid moments for friends and family. Through pictures I create a magical, comical, elegant and candid frozen moments to look back and bring smiles. To me it is important what the person being photographed wants to see in the end result.

I have always been energized by children and find magic around them. I started writing for fun and shared my stories with kids around me. The inspiration to write my first story, Monkey Bars, dawned upon me when my older daughter was giving up easily on day to day things. I feel that kids go through a positive learning curve when as an adult we let them experience the falls with little guidance. My stories spark from this core thought while I observe children.
The everyday issues that kids go through, is what she wants to focus on through her illustrations and writing. I write from a place of deep passion, joy, and commitment to producing the stories that touch children. With my belief in magic and infinite potential of the universe, I want to ignite the future of tomorrow with an everlasting passion and belief in self.

Fear of the dark, monsters or the unknown is common in kids. A calm and focused mind allows for a positive thought process. Teaching kids to apply this in their life can help them conquer their fears. I have created this story using my experience as a parent with an attempt to make this concept easy for a child to grasp. My hope is that this story can help children and adults to be fearless.
