Chuck McAlister

Biography

Chuck McAlister, an avid hunter, is founder and host of the hunting program, AdventureBound Outdoors (ABO) which he launched in 1996. The program pioneered the magazine style format for outdoor programs and has won 4 national awards.

It was twice given the Fan Favorite Award on the Outdoor Channel. Chuck is also a recognized author, having written four books, including Adventures in Gods Country, a collection of hunting stories published in the Durabook format, which is waterproof and highly durable.

Chuck has been married to Janice, who is also an avid hunter, for 31 years. Chuck and Janice have coauthored a marriage book entitled Choosing Your Way to a Great Marriage. They have 2 sons, Chris and Jeff. Chris is married to Brandi, and together, they have provided Chuck and Janice with three beautiful granddaughters: Ashlynn, Madilynn, and Braelynn.

Chuck attended Clemson University where he received his degree in Geology and was designated distinguished military graduate.

He went on to serve with distinction in the United States Army and was decorated for service in the 2nd Infantry Division in Korea. Chuck has served in leadership positions and on the boards of numerous national organizations. He is much sought after as a speaker due to his gifted skill in communication and his great ability to tell a story.
