Robert Ballard

I am a retired blue collar worker and a new author. After helping with a community library project, I became interested in writing. My style of writing is very simple and direct with humor and about life experiences and in a style very much like a story teller with tales and stories about the place and people from where I have my roots. I have been compared to James Michener by one reviewer.

My Two New Books
I am a self published author and id this little video which I place on you tube to promote my books.

My Tuxedo Doesn't Fit Me Anymore-Memories of a Mill Village Brat
I grew up in in a cotton mill village during the 1950's. Cotton mill workers such as my parents and those who lived in our village were often looked down on and sometimes called "cotton mill trash." In this book I give an overview of the mill, the village, our school, and a variety of stories about the people and the businesses. My growing up years were influenced by these wonderful people and this is my tribute as created in my memory.
