Smashwords Interview

What is your e-reading device of choice?
I have a KindleFire which I LOVE! My first e-reader was the first generation Kindle. I find the KindleFire (Mine isn't one of the newer ones) to be easier to use. There are over one thousand books on my device and I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to ever find time to read them all!
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in rural Michigan. Because I didn't live in town, I didn't have a bunch of friends to hang out with all the time. Instead I would visit the library and bring home stacks of books to read. And of course, I always had my own stories I was working on over the years.
I was raised in a Christian home and attended a small local church. I'm sure my childhood was very protected in comparison to some, but the values and beliefs with which I was raised have influenced the stories I write and the way I write them.
