Renee Sherkness


Renee Sherkness attended Philadelphia College of Pharmacy & Science majoring in Biology.

She later went on to achieve her degree in Early Childhood Education Degree: Summa Cum Laude and an Academic Excellence Award from Montgomery County Community College.

Renee continued her teaching and administration career for over 18 years.
She later became certified as a Yoga instructor for children.

Her passion for teaching, love of nature, and respect for the environment combine in her children’s books. Her stories entertaining, educational and informative help awaken a child’s interest in nature and the connection shared with our environment. Her goal in her “story writing” is to inspire in the reader an interest in achieving a healthier “world” and a healthier “us.”

Renee, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, lives in Pennsylvania with her two dogs and the loving memories of her husband Joe who suddenly passed away May 8th, 2012. Here she continues her writing, conducting workshops, presenting yoga to children and spending time with her grandchildren.
