Interesting characters, plot with some surprising twists and turns. Didn't see the ending coming. I did have to skip pages several times as some of it became redundant and predictable. After reading the series, must say each book becomes better and better!
Although captivating, real characters, good plot, the book began with some dfficulty separating the two story lines. Also the ending was too abrupt and left me wondering about two secondary characters and what exactly was their conclusion. I tried several times to find an epilogue.
Once it dawned that this is post Gone With The Wind [my duh!], I enjoyed the novel from character introductions to plot developments to the ending. The history was well researched and brillantly woven into the framework without overpowering, but contributing the believability. My only suggestion would be to...... well, I don't want it give too much away. Would I read it again?...Yes Would I recommend it?....Yes.
This is a most incredible book. Plot - well developed from beginning to end, good pacing/flow; Characters - attributes that made them feel real; Twists and Turns - just the right amount and does NOT cause confusion nor give the ending away. The author did a really good job.
