Author Rebecca Ayers is a self-identified bibliophile whose love of words has guided her through every aspect of her life. Raised in the American South, she grew up with a love of folklore and storytelling. She has been writing stories since the age of six and continues to pursue her passion. The Washer Woman's Daughter is her first full length novel.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
I grew up reading epic fantasy and I love reading stories that can carry you out of the everyday. I have so many favorite fantasy books but (in no particular order) my top five would be: The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien, Eye of the World by Robert Jordan, Homeland by R.A Salvatore, Polgara the Sorceress by David Eddings, and A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula Le Guin.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Twitter has really embraced me on my writer's journey and it's been a lot of fun keeping my feed updated and interacting with other writers. The Goodreads giveaway feature has also been a great tool.
