Rashaun Allen is a proven author and professional speaker. He is the author of A Walk Through Brooklyn and In The Moment. This dynamic young man has been noted and quoted in publication throughout the capital region of New York: The Chronicle, The Troy Record & Albany Student Press.
He also works as an Assistant Store Manager. Where he is responsible for the day to day operations of a multi-million dollar store. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and English from SUNY Albany and he obtained his Master of Business Administration from The College of Saint Rose.
A Community Organizer, who has been involved in multiple non-for-profit organizations. Most notably, as a brother of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc, who has held many chapter level positions such as Treasurer, Program Director, Sigma Beta Club Committee member and Undergraduate Advisor.

How did you get started writing?
Growing up I kept a journal. It was my feelings as rhymes, stories and sayings.
In The Moment is a collection of twenty-four poems about resolve. About the experience of courage, heartache and love. The poems are inspired by vital moments people have in their lives. Moments that are uncomfortable. Moments that need to be untangled. Readers will go through a journey that bring these moments from the pages to the spotlight.
A Walk Through Brooklyn is a journey told through a collection of poetry. Each step taken is a poem about the black experience. About the experience inside families and around neighborhoods. Filled with words that move through turmoil. Words that give inspiration. And words that attract love. Readers will be moved by issues that touch their lives.
