Rebecca Welch

Rebecca Welch is a full-time hairstylist, Mom and avid daydreamer. At a young age, literature became a vital part of her life, as there was never a flat surface in her home that did not contain a book. This love, acquired from her parents, inspired her to begin writing down everything her mind created, only furthering her infatuation with all things imaginary. Understanding that the best listener anyone could have is a blank notebook, there was rarely a time in which pen and paper weren’t put to use.

In 2017, Rebecca graduated from Full Sail University with a BFA in Creative Writing for Entertainment. Her time at Full Sail allowed her to develop her skills and turn her stories into works of art. While in school, she acquired a newfound love for flash fiction and short stories. Her largest literary influences are series’ such as Harry Potter, The Hunger Games and Divergent. Due to this, her own writing tends to take on a dystopian feel, often involving suspenseful endings, leaving readers thirsty for more. She is given a daily reality check, provided by her clientele, that the world is truly a crazy place. This, combined with her knack for envisioning worlds where happiness isn’t at the forefront, gives her endless inspiration for creative works.
