Belinda G. Buchanan

Biography

Adultery, alcoholism, & mental illness are very real, but sometimes overlooked, social issues that I like to write about.

Why, you ask?

Because drama is raw, drama is pure-and drama evokes emotion like no other. And when you combine it with tall, dark, & handsome-it's positively electrifying. Giving my characters these afflictions is what makes them human, warts and all. Even heroes have a chink or two in their armor.

My stories are filled with angst, intimacy, despair, and hope. If you like these things, and don't mind a few racy scenes or a sprinkling of profanity here and there, then my books are for you.

I have written four novels to date: "After All Is Said And Done", "The Monster of Silver Creek", "Seasons of Darkness", and the recently released "Tragedy at Silver Creek".

Smashwords Interview

Tell us a little bit about the kinds of books you write?
I create stories that deal with very personal and social issues: Alcoholism, mental illness, adultery, and domestic abuse as well as some other taboo subjects. My women are not weak, and my men are not always strong. You will find that my characters are not perfect - they are far from it, actually, because even heroes have a chink or two in their armor. It's what makes them human, and I find that fascinating.
What age group would you suggest like your books?
Definitely 18 and over. Some of the scenes I write are a little racy, and have been known to have a sprinkling of profanity here and there. So, if you don't mind those things then my books are for you. :)
