Charles Trachta, Jr

Charlie Trachta was born and raised on Staten Island, NY. After high school, Charlie spent over five years in the U.S Army as a Military Police Officer, mostly with the 15th M.P. Brigade in Germany.

After he was discharged from the Army, he got his college degree from Wagner College, located on Staten Island. There he started to play with words, writing stories and plays about situations that he saw and most of all, lived. Out of college, he was sworn in as NYC Police Officer in January, 1981.

He started out on Staten Island working the NSU, then moving to Brooklyn South for a short stint before landing in Manhattan South where he served until being forced to retired due to line-of-duty injuries. Now, with a wealth of knowledge of crime and people, thanks to his time patrolling the street of NYC, he has many “police and crime” stories to tell.

His critical mind and sharp sense of humor makes it really interesting to read his approach to some situations we see every day in the papers. His stories revolve around crime, revenge and with a hint of sex. Mixing a little reality in his fiction, Charlie tells his stories in a very compelling style, not letting you put down the book before it´s over.
