When everyone is asleep, Richard Schwarz can be found at his computer, his face glowing in the screen light, typing away so that he can tell his tales and let others enjoy his imaginings.
This particular book covers the period shortly after Alice’s arrival in Under City and the beginning of her journey home. While Alice attempts to comprehend her surroundings in the fashion and spirit of good consumermanship, she finds she is often challenged to explain events by other means.
This isn't a joy ride down the rabbit hole. It may be written in nonsense but it’s all business. Forget chasing the white rabbit, Alice is trying to survive and not just against zombies. While she’s running for her life, the last thing she’s worried about is how she gets home as long as she can get home in one piece.. The odds are stacked against her. Are her friends enemies and who can she trust?
In Aftermath: Consumer Ghost finally feels as though she has bonded with her companion. She feels she can trust him and has learned that her companions can all rely upon one another. Then, as she becomes dear to him, he decides he must be alone for some time to himself. Stunned by her feeling that she has been abandoned Ghost sets out to prove she can navigate the wasteland without his help.
In Aftermath: Survivor Ghost’s companion unleashes his cruel calculated brutality on other survivors and demands that Ghost participate. Ghost is shaken by how well she’s learned to kill. When she finds out the purpose for the killing is twofold she can’t handle the depravity to which humanity has fallen.
Aftermath: Wanderer details the exploits of Ghost as she learns to become proficient in survival. She can shed the tears she wants but her strange companion seems to have less compassion for her than her harsh surroundings. However, there may be another side to him she must learn to understand without the aid of social norms.
Aftermath: Found chronicles Ghost’s survival prior to her traveling companions and the horrors of the zombie apocalypse. She is alone, afraid, and looking for somewhere to die. America is a wasteland where survivors are often forced to extreme measures. For one survivor running isn't an option. He would rather fight than hide.

I found the imagery in this book very intriguing. It was a great lead in for something more and I enjoyed the cruel anonymity of Tialith, who was palpable and foreboding. It's a tad rough, but just a tad, and overall a very appealing read. this Author shows great promise.
