Smashwords Interview

When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I'm a person just like every other human being on the planet. Well, maybe not every other human being. I'm American so let's see. I get up, go to work. Spend at least eight hours shaking and sometimes faking, and then I come home. I feed my family, watch a little TV, and then get to work…again. The work after the paid job is working on my novels. This is not all I do. I do love going to the movies. I'm a writer, and well, I like to see how other stories have turned out. Most of them are amazing. Some, not so much.
I have learned a lot from movies, and that helps me in my own writing. Tone is one thing, and pace is another. Continuity is also an important aspect that I have learned. Yes, I am in the theater a lot!
What do you read for pleasure?
Everything! I love a good story period. I don’t have a specific genre that I stick to like most folks, I just do it. I have read both good and bad in all genres, but it doesn't stop me from reading. I will admit that I gravitate to both romance and the paranormal. I love strong characters (especially strong men), in the stories I read, and I find that in both of those genres.
