Biography

Rita Clay Estrada has written 48 books since 1982 for six publishers. She has several writing awards from leading Bookstore chains and Organizations. She created,organized and was first President of Romance Writers of America. THE RITA AWARD was named in her honor. Her mother, Rita Gallagher, became one of the top writing teachers in the country.
Her second career has been in the catastrophe insurance business, where she has worked storms throughout the entire United States, including Northridge Earthquake and Moore, Oklahoma Tornados. And then a flood hit her own home with over three feet of water that destroyed everything, including her writing. So, now - she begins again.
