How do you approach cover design?
I'd like to use a cover that fits the story. I am blessed to be friends with a gifted artist (Edith Wawrowska) who already had the orginal cover design and i thought it was just perfect. For future projects we would like to work together again and find a nice design for the cover.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
1. 1984 - George Orwell
Great book that had a vision about the society of the future. A vision that's turning out to be very plausible
2. American Psycho – Brett Easton Ellis
Comically dark and intensely written, a lot more graphic and enigmatic than the movie
3. Song of Ice and Fire books – George R.R. Martin
Massive saga done right. George R.R. Martin has a real knack for writing intertwining storylines, fleshed out characters and big scale action scenes.
4. Chariots of the gods - Erich von Däniken
Could be seen as a fascinating work of thought out fiction. But some of the theories in this book just tickly the imagination “what if there is life in outer space?”
5. The Poet – Michael Connelly
Connelly is to crime novels, what The Wire does for TV. I love the Harry Bosch character (really hope the new tv-show gets green lit) but my favorite novel has Journalist Jack McEvoy as a persistent anti-hero. The story has a great mystery with a surprising conclusion.
There are a lot more books and writers I could mention here, but these are the ones I read and stood by me for several reasons.
