Rob Johnson

Some readers have asked me if my comedy thrillers 'Lifting the Lid' and 'Heads You Lose' are partly autobiographical. Am I anything like the main character, Trevor Hawkins? The answer, quite simply, is: ‘No, I’m not.’ Okay, so I do own an elderly VW Transporter camper van (currently off the road), I do have a dog (five rescue dogs actually), I do have a low pain threshold, and I can occasionally be accused of ‘anally retentive faffing’. But there the similarity ends.

Unlike Trevor, I live in Greece with my wife, Penny, two cats and the aforementioned rescue dogs. As far as I’m aware, Trevor has never written anything longer than a shopping list in his life, whereas I’m working on my third novel and two screenplays.
