Robert Pohle is an active member of the Western Writers of America and his westerns have been appearing since1978.
He was born in the Delaware Valley in 1949, just across the river from where James Fenimore Cooper was born a few centuries earlier. For most of the past few decades, Pohle has made his home in St. Augustine, Florida, our nation’s oldest city. Since retiring from a Living History Museum there a few years ago, he has been able to return to his first love, writing.
As a Benedictine Oblate of Osage Deanery in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Pohle continues to be a regular visitor to the West. Both of his grandfathers were lovers of books who taught him to treasure western literature, and Pohle is actually the fourth generation of his family to live by the pen.
