Growing up in southern New Jersey, my passion was poetry. By the time I became a teenager, my family had moved to New Mexico; eventually I moved Nevada. Somewhere along the line, those works were lost. My love of the environment continued to grow, provoking the desire to be outdoors and travel.
In adulthood, reading became my passion. No particular genre; I simply like a good story. The result of broad horizons is that I also write across genres as well.
In October 2013, I first heard about NaNoWritMo (National Novel Writing Month) and that was when I first began writing something other than research papers while continuing my education. Christmas Shawl was my first completed novel and yes, it is a NaNoWritMo 2013 novel. From there, my passion for writing exploded and Secrets and Doors was born.
Self-improvement through education also became a way of life, driving me to continue my education. While pursuing my associates degree in Pennsylvania, My Rogue Children, a series of poems shedding light on man's effects on the planet, was the result of an assignment. Later, a bachelor's degree in environmental studies opened the doorway for Stacy, my first children's picture ebook about sustainability. Leading to completing a Master's degree in Crisis and Emergency Management, also from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Mystic Vale series started off as a trilogy but has become much more and is in the works.
