What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The flow. And joy is too simple of a word, I think. Most of my writing is me putting into words my take on what I experience. Then asking questions and wondering if there is another way to look at it. Checking myself for integrity. It is my way of getting a flow going that catalyzes my search for truth. So, maybe joy, but more bringing my heart and soul to the surface.
What do your fans mean to you?
Interesting question. As a yet to be discovered writer, the only fans I have are fans of me; not my writing. And they are my friends. And they mean everything to me. As I have grown older, I'm finding my dearest friends spread far and wide. I miss so many of them but still know the thread is there. Knowing that we could reunite and the belief in each other wouldn't be questioned is as good as it gets.
But let's imagine for a moment, people do begin to read my writings. It would mean a great deal to me that what I wrote resonated to them because I really feel I have some good stuff to offer. And maybe my words, my philosophy, and the truth as I see it are tipping the balance of the world a little to the better.
