Roxanne Brown has a B.S. in business and has worked in sales, marketing, and management in the international home video field and advertising space sales. Later in life she returned to school and earned her M.S. in counseling, with an emphasis in career counseling. She's traveled extensively and has lived in the Midwest, on the East Coast, the West Coast, and in Europe. She now combines her education, experiences and international contacts in her private practice and her contract work as a career counselor.

Barbara Mastej, collaborator, designer, and illustrator of this book, received a BFA from The School of Art at The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, but has called Venice, California her home for over 25 years. Although she has spent most of her adult career working in both print and broadcast at large advertising agencies in Detroit, New York, and Los Angeles, she is currently half of a team in a creative partnership, Odd Man Out, LLC, with her mate and fellow artist, John Ransom. Her background in design, writing, and marketing is an invaluable tool for helping manifest ventures such as this book.

Another contributor, John Link, M.D., is recognized as one of the foremost breast cancer doctors in the world. He actively practices at Breastlink, the comprehensive breast cancer group he founded in 1995. He also conducts research, writes books and teaches. The Breastlink Medical Group has been recognized as a leader and innovator in breast cancer care by Self magazine and ABC's 20/20. In 1998 Dr. Link founded the Breast Cancer Care and Research Fund, a nonprofit charity dedicated to educating and helping women achieve optimal care. He has been recognized by numerous organizations for his dedication and contributions to women with this disease.
Dr. Link is the author of The Breast Cancer Survival Manual in its fifth edition and Take Charge of Your Breast Cancer. He has been honored by the American Cancer Society for his commitment to the treatment and cure of breast cancer.
