When did you first start writing?
I first started writing ever since I could pick up a pencil and jot down my ideas. Writing was an escape from reality for me. It's a way for me to breathe and continue to make it through another day. Writing became a passion for me after creating countless little stories, but it became a huge sensation when I wrote my first outline of my novel when I was just thirteen and in the seventh grade. If you asked my family and friends, they would best refer to me as "A Girl with a Large Imagination". Teachers would always find me writing in the middle of class too and always appreciated my love for the art.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
The first story I ever wrote was about a boy who had a troubled past and was trying to escape from it. After an arguement with his parents, he ran away from home and ended up running into a man who promised him a much better future. The little boy accepted, wanting a way out of the life he was living in now. In the end, the boy loved his new life for awhile, but wished he could go back to the old life he had before. I wrote this story as if it were me. I experienced many ups and downs with school and always wished for a a chance to start over so I wrote a story to help me feel better about the situation.
