What is your writing process?
When I have an idea, I act out the scenario in my head. If it remains believable and feasible, I start writing. Although the first few paragraphs tend to to be the most difficult, once underway, there is no turning back. I often agonize, far too long, over a sentence. My extensive list of recorded music begins with Bruce Springsteen's greatest hits. I'm usually aware of the first song, 'Born to Run,' the next thing I know, the entire playlist is exhausted and it's Iate in the day.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The first book to really grip me was 'Treasure Island' by Robert Louis Stevenson. I was in junior school and remember being so envious of cabin boy 'Jim Lad,' he met pirates and sailed to all those far away places, my excitement was fuelled.
