Smashwords Interview

What are you working on next?
I am currently working on three different novels.

One is the follow up to The Legends of Saint Nicholas: The Emergent Son. It takes place fifteen years later when Nicholas' fame has grown and a new threat has burst upon the scene, threatening the future generations.

The second book is a fantastical look at the real mission of Lewis and Clark. The Adventures of Lewis and Clark: The Cave of Wonders begins with the question: what if Lewis and Clark were really sent out to secure a mystical cave providing the wealth to fund the grand Jeffersonian vision? It's my tribute to Indiana Jones.

And the third book looks into the amazing power that music holds on our memories.
What is your writing process?
My writing process begins with listening. I listen for new stories. I listen to what the story I am writing is telling me to do next. I listen for new ways to spin the story when discussing it with my wife and sons.

Then I outline--it's rough and rugged and nasty. But necessary.

Then I write. And rewrite. And rewrite. And cry and finish.
