I chanced upon an ad for Nigel's Holiday on Facebook and, beguiled by the cover and blurb, I pottered across to Smashwords to read it. Nigel's Holiday (very) gently sends up the gothic romance genre. Nigel himself is a laddish Englishman with a high opinion of himself and a family determined to keep him grounded. His dream-like holiday in Romania is good for an appreciative grin and the author has a wry and approachable style. Kudos! As for the rating; 4 tars from me means Jolly Good - will probably reread and seek out others by this author.
