Savannah Sweetwater

Savannah Sweetwater was born in the great city of Springfield, Missouri. She spent her childhood tromping through the Ozark hills just steps behind her father who taught her to fish, shoot, and hunt for buckeyes.

Savannah has crafted stories since she was a small child. After a career as an award-winning journalist, Savannah left the world of print and newspapers behind to pursue a life lived through her own imagination. She relishes in the time she spends with her husband of over twenty years. Most days she spends in her central Missouri home with her favorite coffee mug, a good book, and her laptop not far away.

You know, in case inspiration happens to strike. Or something.

Smashwords Interview

Who are your favorite authors?
Oh, there are so many! My first love has always been Harper Lee. I read To Kill a Mockingbird in the seventh grade. But as I've gotten older my tastes have absolutely diversified. I'm a die-hard Stephen King fan, due mainly to his other-worldly ability to craft the most basic words in the English language into the most thought-provoking and beautiful sentences I've read.
Elizabeth Gilbert, Ingrid Ricks, Jane Austen, and Douglas Preston are some of my other favorites.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
There is always that need to pay the bills...
I get out of bed each day because I can. I lost my little sister a few years ago and it hasn't escaped me that I'm pretty damn lucky each day to see the sunshine again.
