Born and raised in Léry, QC a few miles from Kahnawake and Montreal. My heritage is mixed my interests are varied.
I was on the radio for 10 years on CKUT, first as a freelancer and correspondent and then hosted and produced Twisting Tongue, which gave a voice to women. I produce and organize poetry events under Selene Y or Selene Dreams, a book is written, on a theme or topic, which serves as an awareness campaign, tickets and books are sold to raise awareness and funds for a group.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT A collective of poets and writers got together to raise money for the NDG Food Depot. Poems look at food for the soul, the intellect and the body. It will be re-edited and money raised will go to Concordia University to help feed students.
WOMEN OF COLOR A collective of poets and writers to highlight the diversity of women and be inclusive of all women of color. Money raised went to Women of Color Sisterhood and event was held in January 2011.
