The Dark Gifts Inheritance

The Dark Gifts Inheritance by Willow Cross
After Jason turned 21 he thought he was losing his mind. During the three full nights of the full moon strange things were happening to him and he had no memory of what he did. He was terrified at the thought of what could be happening to him. His sister, Sara was beginning to think he needed a shrink as well. That is until the horrifying events of the last few months stopped her. Why was Jason building a huge cage in the basement of their home. When Sarah finds out her life changes forever because she is unsure if what is happening to her brother is going to happen to her. Jason and Sara, having grown up with no family are to find out that their real family isn’t even fully human. They are unprepared for the events that start developing and they have to learn quickly. Befriended by those that hunt them down they learn the true meaning of who they are and with the help of a mysterious man in the forest they find out who they are meant to be.
This story held my interest from start to finish. The characters show their feelings and frustrations as they deal with the problems of taking back a werewolf clan while trying to help save the world from something so dark and frightening that they will need their Dark Gifts Inheritance.
A Christmas Miracle

A Christmas Miracle by Willow Cross
Mercedith Owens is divorced and trying to raise her family on her meager income. Being a woman that wants to successfully do it on her own she doesn’t really want to ask for help but she learns that sometimes for God to work you have to ask for the miracle. I could really identify with Mercedith as I was a single mother. I had five boys to raise and it wasn’t always easy.
I loved how the character of Mercedith learns that life can be about receiving a gift as much as giving one, especially when you aren’t expecting it to happen. She is willing to repay what she receives and the door opens to give her the help she needs so desperately. I recommend this to anyone that has been , knows or may be a single mother. Miracles do happen, especially when you least expect it.

Haunted by Willow Cross
It doesn’t matter if you believe in the supernatural or just love a good ghost story Haunted gives you enough to satisfy both. Willow Cross shares her experiences with you and lets you decide whether you want to believe in ghosts or not. The reading of each of the stories took me there with her as she was living through it. I could sense her feelings in her words and descriptions, letting my imagination take over and picture it all as I read. I recommend it for both its ghostly stories and its paranormal aspects. If you enjoy ghost stories and paranormal happenings than you will want to read Haunted II by Willow Cross. Ouija boards have long been sold in toy and game sections of stores, but are they really a harmless toy or a gateway that allows sinister forces to attach themselves to a person’s life. Harmless or open door to the paranormal you will have to read and decide for yourself.
It has been said that animals are truly sensitive to paranormal events. In Feline Ghost hunter you are introduced to a very sensitive pet that lets their owner know that there is someone or something visiting that wasn’t invited. Is it just the over imagination of a young woman or does our feline know that some visitors just can’t be seen.
This selection of short stories are well written and will give you your Halloween scare if you are looking for some fantastic ghost stories. If instead you are looking to read about paranormal experiences then you are also a winner. Regardless of what you are looking for you can’t go wrong with Willow Cross’s book Haunted II.

Any mother that would see her daughter abused would want justice. Sophia, however, isn’t just any mother, she is a half angel and with Sophia justice is swift. Nathaniel meets her at one of her appointments. He is another like her, a half angel. Nathaniel is there to let Sophia know that things need to change. He is placed in her path to let her know that there is a Higher Calling for her, one that will change her life forever. I look forward to the sequel of A Higher Calling. BOUND (#1 in The Crystor Series)
on Nov. 18, 2012
This is book one in The Crystor Series and if the following books are as good as this one it will be a great series. Kira is a teen with few friends and no home life. Kira sees things that well happen before they happen. It is something she thinks is a rain blip, but her most recent one was different she felt it as well as seeing it and she really didn’t know what to do about it. Her mom is into the boyfriend that is into himself. Her best friend Lydia is actually her only friend and she doesn’t want to loose her. Kira is also realizing that there is something different about Lydia. Something she just can’t put her finger on. Kira’s world is going to change and she is going to meet some really interesting people, but all of them aren’t friends and some of them want her and Lydia dead. She is also going to meet Octavion, the mysterious brother her best friend has. He is really something different and it could kill her but she is still drawn to him.
Lydia and Octavion are from a different dimension and royalty. They have been running for their lives for a while now and Lydia is fearful it will all cost her one friend Kira. Her life is almost taken in a battle and Kira is pulled in deeper and has to be told what is going on. After all she is the only one that can save Lydia. Octavion is somewhat of a wizard and his magic can save his sister but will it cost the life of the human girl he has his heart on.
The three have to fight for their lives. Kira has to risk her life for her friends and becoming part of them changes her forever. Evil sisters, Royal blood, curses, all play a part in this story and Kira seems to be part of the solution to all of it. I hated to see this story end. I love the descriptions of all the places that the three are in the story. They are so vivid they come alive in my mind. I felt myself picturing all of this and like I said hated it to end. I can’t wait for the next part of the series. I have to find out what happens between Kira and Octavion. C. K. Bryant your story is wonderful and I look forward to more.

A Moon’ Glow Prequel
By Christina Smith
Riley loves his family, loves the girl of his dreams and hopes to marry her.
In one night when taking a walk during the full moon she is ripped from his life and brutally killed by a werewolf. He is to be the next victim but a simple mistake saves his life and he is cursed as much as the wolf that turned him. Riley however is different than she was. He refuses to accept being a cold-blooded killer he believes that he can make a difference. He has to confess to his father what has happened and fearing for the safety of his family he is sent away to learn to control his curse. Through the help of a father’s love Riley is able to continue life and continue to be part of the family he loves only on the outside being a part but separate. This story is so well written and held me from the first page. I have to encourage you to get it and read it. The story brings you in and you become a part. I found myself pulled into this story and hated to have to put it down. I couldn’t wait to see what Christina Smith would do next to her character and how the story would unfold. A definite must read.

Everything She Does Is Magic
on Feb. 09, 2013
Everything She Does is Magick
Aurora is raised by her three Aunts Merriwether, Flora and Fauna. Sounds like the three fairies from Sleeping Beauty doesn’t it except the three Aunts are not fairies they are witches and Aurora is going to be a very powerful witch. This in itself is remarkable but you see her daughter is going to be the strongest witch born. It was for told in the stars. The three Aunts have to keep a certain young man a virgin until he and Aurora get together. This is a story about how they attempt this and how they attempt to get the two star crossed lovers together in the end. It is such a delightful read and the prequel to Mark of the Witch, Daughter of the Spellcaster and Blood of the Sorceress. After reading this prequel I will most definitely want to read the rest of the books. Gave this a five as it was well written and a delight to read.

Spiritual Embezzlement Made Easy
on March 03, 2013
M.E. Brines has created a book that I feel really did make me think. I have left church behind for the basic reasons that he elaborates on in his book. I was involved in the Sunday school, and in the youth groups and found myself being spiritually deprived. I fit what he talks about in his expose Spiritual Embezzlement Made Easy. Well worth the read if you want really grasp what is going on. I realized everything he shared in this book. Well written and thought provoking. Bella Doerres Ma Ed 03/03/2013

By Jessica Sorensen
Ember knows that death is all around her. She sees it in every person she touches since she was four years old. Ember is now in college and she is about to meet two of the most interesting males she has ever encountered because she can’t see their death. Going to a party with her best friend Raven and Raven swears she sees the grim reaper. This sets of a lot of strange events. Ember at first wants it all to go away but it is the not knowing that can get you or your friends killed. This story by Jessica Sorensen will have you not wanting to put the book down. I love Sorensen’s characters, story line and the wonderful way that she weaves this story together. This is one book I had to read all the way through because I just could not put it down and stop reading.

This is Willow Cross `s third book based on her ghost experiences and this time she has added stories from other's experiences. Willow's story of her experience will have you feeling goose bumps with her as she recounts for you what happened. The other stories in this book add experiences held by others as they share it with the reading audience. All of these stories are going to give you a new perception on the invisible friends of childhood. A definite must read for the ghost believer and the ghost story lover. A book I have found to be a five star haunting set of tales.

Vampires of the Chesapeake Rees Morgan
By D. A. Rhine
D. A. Rhine takes us again into the Vampires of the Chesapeake and this time she tells us the story of Rees Morgan. He is employed by Kian in his escort business and is his best friend. Like Kian he has left behind his human existence and the memories of his human wife still haunts him. Rachel McCready, a young widow, is trying to raise her two sons alone and support herself on her paintings. She and Rees are going to find themselves thrown together by an elder vampire that has come to the Chesapeake to create havoc for Kian and the ancient one doesn’t care who gets hurt in the process. Rhine takes us into a suspense filled romance that will have you as spell bound as it did me. Rees is given an ultimatum by an ancient to turn the young mother or she will be killed by him. Rees is unsure how to respond and knows that he and Kian have to explain it to Rachel, shall we say, delicately. Rachel does not believe in vampires, she finds Rees to be attractive and she has been alone long enough. When her late husband’s ghost turns up giving her cryptic messages through her eldest son she begins to think she is going mad and then when she discovers what Rees is proposing she knows that this can’t be real. Terror haunts her and she is filled with doubt and fear. How is she going to deal with the world of vampires and two young children? What Rees proposes is life changing to say the least and what is happening with the attraction between them? When her ghost husband appears she knows that insanity is not far behind. Read this and find out how romance can develop in the strangest ways and working through terror can really change a person’s heart. Will Rachel be willing to accept the bite of the vampire? I loved this and hope there will be more Vampires of the Chesapeake. A five star read that will most definitely keep you reading.
