Shaheen Darr

Biography

I have been writing for an online writing site on various subjects including business and finance but it is fiction and poetry that interests me the most. I have two projects in the pipeline, a book of short stories and a novel that reflects many of my own experiences as an Asian woman living in Britain.
I question life a lot and from the random pages of my diary the why’s and what if’s were finally self published in two books. “Soul Searching” and “The Spectrum of Life”. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.

  • You're Getting Married Soon... Now What? A Book for All Couples on July 22, 2015
    (no rating)
In this gem of a book Eeva Lancaster tackles the practical subjects that arise after marriage. She raises important questions like “where will we live” and “are we going to share household chores” or “how do you want to spend your free time” which might appear trivial but after marriage can test even the best of relationships. She also touches on subjects like sex, family planning, infertility and the problems that arise when couples share financial commitments. Using a simple and honest approach Eeva Lancaster provides a wealth of information for couples stepping into marriage and also shares some of the problems she faced in her own marriage. I would hand this book as a wedding gift to every couple planning a life together. As Eeva Lancaster so aptly puts it, “You and your partner deserve to know what you are getting into…and knowing now is better than later”
  • You Want To Be An Online Freelancer... Now What? on Oct. 01, 2015

In an honest and straightforward manner, Eeva Lancaster shares her personal experiences of becoming a successful freelancer. She provides simple tools that can make the difference between success and failure in an environment where “the Internet never sleeps.” These days competition is tough and jobs are even tougher to find, so the book will make perfect sense to those who want to step into self-employment and work from home. This valuable handbook also contains names of sites that offer online freelance opportunities. This book could not have come at a better time for me. I know I will be referring to it again and again!
