Smashwords Interview

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up on the Eastside of Detroit, MI. Better known as the Murder Mitten. We have the highest murder rate in the world and this has definitely influence my writing and the style in which I write. I can relate to pain, struggle, poverty, murder, money and death. It has surrounded me my whole life. Those life experience has guided my imagination.
When did you first start writing?
I first started writing in 2008. My ex boyfriend went to prison and I would write him and the way that I wrote to him was in a writing style and he wrote back and told me I should try actually writing professionally and I did and I sent him the first chapter I ever wrote and he loved it and I've been writing ever since.
