C.J. Shane is an arts journalist, book author, and artist with degrees from the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Kentucky. Shane is a dedicated environmentalist and nature-lover, a jazz fan, and an international traveler.
Shane has published eight nonfiction books, including _Voices of New China_ (2013) and _American Community Colleges: The International Student's Guide_ (2017). Her first work of nonfiction, _Desert Jade_ appears in November 2017.
