Shauna Zion

Biography

Shauna Zion is a wife and mother of two who resides in Johannesburg, South Africa. She believes in the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

She has a passion for writing, teaching, and public speaking especially on the subject of Depression. She has since attended to her passion through self-publishing two books so far and at least 5 of her articles have been accepted and published by different magazines internationally. Her fulfillment comes from me knowing that her inspirational writing has managed to make a difference in someone’s life.

She started writing in 2006 but only managed to publish her first book in 2017 after the discovery of her true self through psychotherapy for depression. Depression for her was that blessing in disguise she would have never received without it. Through her writings, she aims to have the reader change their perspective of looking at situations, showing them the glimpse of hope that is always there at the end of their tunnel.

Though people's experiences are never the same, she still believes that her experience with the state of hopelessness qualifies her to stand and convince someone who finds themselves in that same status she once experienced.

When she's not writing she's playing around in the kitchen with different plant-based recipes. She also enjoys exercising.

Sometimes life can throw you into the deep end, and as you flounder, you feel quite helpless with all hope lost and a better tomorrow being a far-fetched fantasy. Hope then, becomes that life-changer, and even better; a hope founded in a living source. Through biblical lessons she learned after her depression experience, Shauna aims to change the reader's perspective of their hopeless situation.
