Author Sheri Timmons is a devoted wife and mother of six who boldly shares her faith with others. She shares her life experiences that led to her PTSD diagnosis and how she fought to battle back to a place of peace, joy, and healing. Sheri also shares the uncertainties her family faced when their youngest child was diagnosed with Autism and how they refused to give up hope that he would not do well in "normal" settings. She hopes that by telling her story, she will be the light that someone needs.
When did you first start writing?
I loved to write for as long as I can remember. I think it was kindergarten. I was supposed to write five sentences - and I wrote a story! The teacher said I did too much. I remember my mom telling her she should be happy I enjoyed the assignment enough to write more than five sentences. My mom told me to never stop writing. She made me feel so proud of my story.
What motivated you to become a published author?
Once I began opening up about my battle with depression and PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), I was saddened at how many people felt isolated, alone, and ashamed. I wanted others to know they weren't alone and that there's hope for better days...to just hold on and push through.
