My first language is Chinese, but I've been learning English for more than 35 years. I also graduated from University of Toronto with an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree. I studied Linguistics, English, Drama and Theater Performance in the University. Now I'm confident with my English and enjoy working with language.
I immigrated from China to Canada in 2005. What happens to a man when he is immigrating from one country to another while the two countries are totally different in culture and system? The story tells my own experience when I went though this dramatic life-changing moment. Ninety percent of the story actually happened.
It's a science fiction. However it reflects reality, and has practical significance. The author bases on his experience and knowledge accumulated for decades, in both computer science and linguistic science, comes up with some first hand ideas and insights, and tries to express them through this form of a science fictional story. He hopes it's both absorbing and inspiring.
