Hartley did it again. This one goes straight into action and keeps the pace to the end. More important, the serial killers are so merciless, inventive, and real that I can't get them out of my head. I hope to heck nobody like them lives on my side of earth. I'm impressed that the main character, Gus Bolderjack, isn't a superhero but is a smart and tough guy who screws up just like the rest of us. Hope to see him in more novels. FBI agent Mattie Hendrix, too.
