    When Aisling turns 21, she starts to change. A few weeks later, and 10 years after her mother was killed in an accident, Aisling's grandmother passes away; leaving her with the surprise of her being a witch, a grimoire (spell book) that belonged to her mother, and endless questions she has no idea how to get answers to. Clueless as to what being a witch meant for her, Aisling searches the library useless book after book with no luck . Until Connor walks into her life unexpectedly, agrees to help her, and everything starts to change inside out. "That sensation in my stomach increased like I’d been yanked toward him. Whatever was going on with my stomach had something to do with him. But I didn’t know what it was. Hair on the back of my neck rose and goose bumps broke out across my skin. Then, everything went into slow motion. " "He held my gaze, and I couldn’t breathe." This is one of the books that hooks you, pulls you in and keeps you intrigued. The writing flows beautifully and the characters are complex and intriguing. They will captivate you, make you love (or hate) them, and you will discover more and more of them as you read. You'll feel out of breath with them, and will just keep wanting to turn the pages, unable to stop reading. The plot is twisted keeping you drawn in by the story. Just when you think you've figured it out, more layers are uncovered and you'll want to keep reading to find out more. From the beginning you will feel the electricity between Aisling and Connor. "Something about him made me feel alive again. That knowing grin widened and his head bent forward as if to introduce himself. Those brown eyes never faltered, and remained locked with mine. " "I could still feel his gaze on me. It felt like I’d been burned, all the way down to my soul." And Connor.... major crush for him...ssshhh don't tell Aisling :) I will not say more, but will let you discover this stunning debut from Sarah Doughty that I highly recommend
