Smashwords Interview

What is your writing process?
I actually don't normally have a writing process, per se. I get an idea and I start writing immediately. A lot of the time, the storyline fizzles out pretty quickly, which is why a lot that I have written is completed or published. Rarely do I ever go back but sometimes I take a concept from one uncompleted writing and start a new one from it. What this means is that I don't have an end to my story (besides a HEA) already in mind when I begin writing. Recently, however, I have begun to write outlines for at least half of the story. The first book I've published that I've had an outline for is "Cold Sweetheart". So yeah, my process is generally: idea then write.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
I think the first stories I'd read were the Ramona B. Quimby series. I remember sitting in the corner for hours just reading them. They made me fall in love with reading and I began writing shortly after that. I was about 7 at the time so you can imagine what my writing was like.

  • Breaking His Code on June 07, 2021

I just finished this novel this morning snuggled in my blankets. I loved it. It gave me a whole new view of PTSD and made me appreciate our troops even more. Thank you.
  • Hooked on June 20, 2021
    (no rating)
Awww...this was a really cute story.
  • Rough Terrain (Small Town Second Chance Romance) on July 12, 2021

OH God, I loved this book. I normally don't like "second chance" books because the FLs are usually too block headed to admit they want a second go at a relationship. But Sage wasn't like that. There was no stupid misconceptions between her and Wes and Nick made everything sweeter. This is def. my favorite "second chance" romance book by far.
  • Deacon (Billionaire Boss Romance) on July 13, 2021

When you learn your boyfriend is a sex addict, you don't walk out on him. Like she said herself multiple times, they just met. Of course he's not gonna tell you his darkest secret so soon. It's not like he cheated on you. Mia was such a block head and she didn't deserve him. Regardless, I enjoyed the book.
  • Hooked on Aug. 05, 2021

    Loved this book!
  • An Unplanned Christmas on Nov. 11, 2021

Would I recommend this book? Yes and no. Yes, because the author is clearly a good writer and I love Christmas romance. No, because Rachel is aggravating. I swear to God, I don't know how or why people write about people like her. Honestly, I loved the happy ending but Cam deserved better. So if you like female leads who have trust issues, are control freaks, and literally the most annoying person on the planet, I say download this book yesterday!
  • A Word Called Love on Nov. 13, 2021

This was a beautiful story. I like how it was about the female lead overcoming her self-image issues and not about some stupid misunderstanding between her and Isaac. I would highly recommend you read this, especially after one of those stressful books.
  • Nothing but Trouble on Nov. 16, 2021

I liked this book a lot. There were no stupid misunderstandings and it was realistic: the author didn't make her stop fighting just for the benefit of the story- she fought every chance she got like someone would in real life. The romance was also very nice. MUST READ.
  • Dark Wolf (Shifters of Dundaire 1) on Nov. 18, 2021

I loved this book! It's a MUST read. I think Miranda is a little...you know, stupid, but that's for you to decide.
  • Dragon's Kiss on Nov. 19, 2021

I really enjoyed reading this book. I highly recommend it.
  • Knight's Seduction (A Knights of Hell Prequel Novella) on Nov. 23, 2021

Very nice! I'm in love with this series so far.
  • Kiss Me on Nov. 24, 2021

I liked the book, except most of the time they were just fighting their attraction. It was kind of annoying. But it's a good read nonetheless.
  • Last Dance on Nov. 26, 2021

He was borderline stalking but portrayed as "romantic"....
  • Small Town Charm on Nov. 26, 2021

I loved this book. It was short and sweet. I'm glad John didn't let his mother dictate his love life.
  • Up in Flames on Nov. 27, 2021

    Very nice.
  • Saying Yes on Nov. 27, 2021

You know how you read all those books where the female lead is quick to jump to conclusions and ditch the male lead? That's the exact opposite of what happened in this book- it was like a breath of fresh air. This is a MUST READ.
  • Two Birds, One Stone on Nov. 27, 2021

I really liked reading this book! It was sexy and funny.
  • Temptation in Texas: A Christmas Special on Nov. 27, 2021

I don't know if normalizing and romanticizing Logan's behavior is a good thing but overall, I liked the story.
  • Tattoo My Heart (Heroes of Seaside Point, Book 1) on Nov. 30, 2021

    A really good read.

  • The Highlander's Braw Lass on Dec. 07, 2021

I did enjoy reading the book but most of the time Alastair was mourning his dead wife.
  • How to Tame a Billionaire Cowboy on Dec. 07, 2021

This is one of my favorite cowboy books, but I would have liked to know Emily's reasons for wanting Jackson and Mia apart.
  • Jilted in January on Dec. 07, 2021

    I enjoyed reading this book.
  • Kragyn on Dec. 07, 2021

I haven't gotten through this book yet. I'm on page 94 I think and nothing has really happened yet. While it's well written, it's extremely boring- at least as far as I've gotten and it's getting hard to continue reading something that isn't holding my attention.
  • Hot in the Saddle on Dec. 08, 2021

    Very good story!
  • Six on Dec. 09, 2021

Best Demon hunter book I've ever read.
  • Hustle on Dec. 10, 2021

I liked the overall concept of the book but I just couldn't stand Ellie. After Jacob saved her ass time after time, she still thought he was only using her- up until the very end- literally.
  • The Enemy's Son on Dec. 11, 2021

I don't know how Cora could be so distrustful of Nick yet trust Alexander when she described him as creepy time after time again. Once she realizes how stupid she was, the book gets really good though.
  • Life Hack on Dec. 12, 2021

This isn't your average billionaire romance book and that's what makes me love it so much.
  • Dagger Jack: Cyborg Awakenings Book 5 on Dec. 14, 2021

    Very nice book.
  • Down By Contact on Dec. 14, 2021

Wow. You hardly ever find respectable men like Dawson Drake in books. This book is worth more than 5 stars.

News flash Harper: you are hella shallow.

I HATE women who jump to conclusions with hardly any proof. It's so stupid.

This is a beautiful story with a storyline that is very unique. 10/10 would recommend you read it.
  • Once Upon A Coffee (Meet Cute Romance) on Dec. 30, 2021

    Very cute story.
  • A Billionaire's Love, A Sherbrookes of Newport Novella on Dec. 31, 2021

This is a beautiful, sweet story.

I'm glad Katherine realized that God sends help through people, and not from Heaven, like Dave said. Overall, this was a beautiful and heartwarming story.
  • A Christmas Conspiracy on Dec. 31, 2021

This story was funny and I absolutely loved it. I do feel bad for Todd's girlfriend though.
  • A Christmas Creek Caper on Dec. 31, 2021

    Very nice and very funny.
  • Alpha's Mate - Special Anniversary Extended Edition on Dec. 31, 2021

I liked this story because it's not your typical paranormal, wolf-shifter book. It also gives us some information about other countries. It's very well-written.
  • The Good Sister on Dec. 31, 2021

This is a very interesting story and to be fair, Bradley's reaction to learning about Isla was very appropriate.
  • Totally Renewed: A Shifter Speed Dating Romance on Dec. 31, 2021

This was hilarious. To meet your fated mate without...you know...anything on is just...omg.
  • Benjamin on Dec. 31, 2021

If Hannah stopped for literally one second to realize Ben was telling the rogue pack's plans to the alpha, she would have realized what was going on. But noooooooo......she decided to run. U.G.H.
  • Lyall on Dec. 31, 2021

It's funny how she could believe something for so long that it was strong enough for her to leave a man she clearly loved and the place she grew up, but then stop believing it at the drop of a dime.
  • Comfy Shorts: Four Romantic Short Stories on Dec. 31, 2021

I really enjoyed reading these short romance stories.
  • Cupid's Apprentice on Dec. 31, 2021

Wonderful story. It was funny and romantic but had a very unique twist to it.
  • Hungry Like A Dragon on Dec. 31, 2021

Funny how the description says she can't figure out how to tell Noah he's a dad. It really should say she doesn't want to tell him. And that's just cruel. But I loved the story.
  • Life Through a Bottle on Dec. 31, 2021

This brought tears to my eyes. Beautiful.
  • Long Distance Wolf on Dec. 31, 2021

She could have gone about explaining why she didn't want to mate a whole heck of a lot better than yelling 'no' at him like a child.
  • Once Upon A New Year's Eve (Meet Cute Romance) on Dec. 31, 2021

Loved this book. This has to be my favorite 'new year's eve' romance book to date.
  • Once Upon A Rescue (Meet Cute Romance) on Dec. 31, 2021

What he does for her is so beautiful. The story was beautiful. The romance was beautiful. The freaking cover is beautiful.
  • Tangled (A Moreno Brother's novella) on Dec. 31, 2021

Romero had every right to act the way he did. Izzy picked the wrong time for the surprise considering everything that was already going on. She should have known better. Fabulous book though.
  • The CEO's Surprise Christmas Family on Dec. 31, 2021

I liked how the past was mixed in with the present so the reader could get a full picture. It's a very good read.
  • The Highlander's Last-Minute Bride on Dec. 31, 2021

The romance was a little sudden but I still enjoyed reading it.
  • Cabin Fever on Dec. 31, 2021

Loved the book, Moira Fox. The ending was very realistic as she began teaching him self-control.
  • Once Upon A Snow Day (Meet Cute Romance) on Jan. 02, 2022

I loved this book because it was a sweet romance. Neither Brandon nor Isabelle had any pre-existing hatred against the opposite sex to make things complicated. It was just refreshing.
  • Panty Snatcher on Jan. 02, 2022

This was funny and who doesn't love second chance romance?
  • Mother Trucker on Jan. 02, 2022

I don't know whether to feel bad for Kylie's mother or say she got what was coming for her. Either way, I enjoyed reading this book. Single dad romance is one of my favorites.
  • Bad At Love on Jan. 03, 2022

A really nice read. I love how the "tougher" of the two is the woman and that the man accepts that.
  • Once Upon A Campfire (Meet Cute Romance) on Jan. 03, 2022

I enjoyed reading this book. I like how the ending is realistic and they didn't just agree on the spot but decided to think it through.
  • Once Upon An Heirloom (Meet Cute Romance) on Jan. 03, 2022

Random acts of kindness like what Everett did are beautiful. I loved the story.
  • Santa, Bring Me a Biker! on Jan. 03, 2022

I honestly don't know why she got so upset that Santa granted her her Christmas wish.
  • The Biker and the Professor (Oil and Water, #1) on Jan. 03, 2022

I really enjoyed reading this book and recommend you check it out as well.
  • The Hunter and Little Fox on Jan. 03, 2022

Very nice but the ending felt a little rushed.
  • Maverick on Jan. 07, 2022

I really liked this story. It was beautiful what Kenzy did for Maverick's father. However, the love was a bit abrubt. There was no passion build-up or anything. Regardless, I really enjoyed the story.
  • Heath on Jan. 07, 2022

That was absolutely sad what happened to her and I'm glad she ended up with Heath, obviously. But just like the first book in the series, the love was very unexpected and sudden.
  • Lance on Jan. 07, 2022

My favorite book in the series so far. I love how Candace begins to believe that men like Lance can find her attractive. Unlike the previous two books, the love progresses and there is a build-up. Absolutely beautiful.
  • Wendol on Jan. 07, 2022

Very interesting book. I like how it points out that all men aren't manwhores, Wendol being one of them.
  • Reese on Jan. 07, 2022

While I enjoyed the book, I don't really get why Erin needed to be hospitalized. I also didn't find it so great that Reese and Chesney saw each other again in the last 20 or so pages of the book. The romance was also way too sudden. One minute she's terrified and the next they're back together. But regardless, I liked the book.
  • Co-Ed on Jan. 10, 2022

I actually downloaded this book a while ago but never got around to reading it because it was nearly 300 pages and anything over 150 pages just makes me want to run the other way. But yesterday I saw it in my library and just decided to click it, consoling myself with the fact that I could always stop and finish it later. When I tell you that I read this book cover to cover in one sitting, I am not joking. It held my attention the entire time. That's very hard to do. I loved this book and had I have known it would be so good I would have read it a lot sooner.
  • His To Claim on Jan. 12, 2022

Very unrealistic (not even considering the shifter part) but very good book as well.
  • The Captain's Girl on Jan. 14, 2022

I was so excited for this book so when I got to the ending, it was a real letdown. I can't do not-happy-ever-afters, even if it is realistic.
  • The Would-Be Mommy on Jan. 15, 2022

This was a beautiful story. I almost didn't download it though because the cover is not the greatest. That just goes to show: don't judge a book by its cover.
  • The Icing on the Cake on Jan. 21, 2022

    Beautiful.
  • Love You, Always on Jan. 21, 2022

I couldn't get past the prologue- all the words were blurring together with my tears. Absolutely heartbreaking and beautiful.
  • Revenge: A Short Story on Jan. 21, 2022

I remember reading the actual book a while ago for their story and to find this was awesome. And yes, that revenge was sweet.
  • Stormsurge on Jan. 22, 2022

Wow. I didn't know people had this kind of thinking. Whenever someone helps you, that doesn't mean they think you're a charity case.
  • A Cowboy's Recipe for Romance: A Christian Romance (Billionaire's Venture, Book 1) on Jan. 23, 2022

    Very enjoyable book.
  • A Hell Hound's Fire on Jan. 23, 2022

One word. Beautiful. Loved this book.
  • A Match Made in Ireland (Escape to Ireland Book 1) on Jan. 23, 2022

I liked the book: it was wholesome and the characters didn't have any prior experience that made them hate the opposite sex- which tends to get on my nerves. My only issue with the book is that they got together right at the very end, which left no time for the readers to see what their life would be like together. I would have liked the romantic build-up to have climaxed a lot sooner, but the book was good nonetheless.
  • All Fired Up on Jan. 23, 2022

When Slo believed that the family living next door to his grandmother was crazy, he was right. This book is funny and one-of-a-kind. I loved it.
  • Best Friends and Other Lovers on Jan. 23, 2022

Loved all three of the books. The first one's ending was a little abrupt but that was okay. The second one was the fastest-paced of all of them. But if you know me, I like a good fast-paced romance. The last one was the most aggravating but so rewarding at the end. I'm happy all three of them got their happy-ever-afters.
  • Billionaire Romance: Christmas Surprise (Book One) on Jan. 23, 2022

I'm not sure how she flipped from hating him to loving him in less than 50 pages, but I loved this book anyway.
  • Charity on Jan. 23, 2022

This book was just as strange as the book it's written about, but it was funny and enjoyable.
  • Christmas at The Grande Pearl on Jan. 23, 2022

This was a nice sweet romance, and I understand where Joe's reservations would come from. I'm happy everything worked out in the end, for Josie's great-aunt as well.
  • Christmas Stray on Jan. 23, 2022

I'm glad Gabe came this close to divorcing her because she was getting on my nerves. I'm glad it helped her realize that moping around wasn't honoring the memory of her son. The reason I'm giving this book three stars is because Juliette is so very annoying and it was hard to get through some of the book.
  • Cooking Up Love on Jan. 23, 2022

Loved this book. Hands down one of my favorite cooking romances.
  • Courting Polly's Daddy (These Nevada Boys series, Book 1) on Jan. 23, 2022

Very nice, although I don't know why she pushed him out of her life for so long. As a woman, I still don't understand the women in a lot of these books.
  • Crimsonella on Jan. 23, 2022

The end with her sister was a little confusing but I loved the book. Hot, winged men in search of the perfect beautiful, human bride.
  • Don't Moose With Her on Jan. 23, 2022

A moose and a wolf. Wow. I'd like to know where his pack was, though. Wolves live in packs. This was a really nice book.
  • Handcuffed And Bared on Jan. 23, 2022

The title didn't really make any sense to me until I read the book. Handcuffed because she was a police officer, and bared- but as in bear- the animal, because she was a bear shifter. Very nice, although inflicting it on her friend was a bit odd.
  • Heat on Jan. 23, 2022

A police officer turned PI and the leader of a mafia. Wow. Loved every page of this book.
  • Irish Kisses on Jan. 23, 2022

This was a very lovely book with a sweet second-chance romance.
  • Jackson: The Sons of Dusty Walker on Jan. 23, 2022

What a hell of a way to find out you have siblings. Jackson and Rori's romance is very refreshing and I loved it.
  • Make Me Believe on Jan. 23, 2022

    Extremely strange but sweet.
  • Murder On The Mountain on Jan. 23, 2022

I would have never guessed who the murder was but once it was revealed, it made sense. This book was the perfect combination of thriller and romance.
  • Pride: Seven Deadly Curvy Girl Sins on Jan. 23, 2022

This was....different. I'm not sure why she agreed to his offer.
  • Some Things Just Happen - A Short Story on Jan. 23, 2022

This story was confusing, the ending wasn't too good, and the romance was lacking any sort of build-up.
  • Sexy Bad Halloween on Jan. 24, 2022

We need more men like Alex in real life. And fewer women like Vicks. She has no filter when talking about sex in a restaurant in front of the waiter, but all of a sudden she doesn't know how to tell Alex the 'big' secret that turns out to not be that big at all. I'm giving this book 5 stars for Alex Darling.
  • Behind These Walls on Jan. 27, 2022

This is a very interesting book. I can feel the emotions. It's really sad too. Martina, if you are reading this, would you get in contact with me on Instagram @syriaflucas or my Facebook page (on my profile)? I'd like to do a book collab with you.
  • Forever Fae on Jan. 28, 2022

I read this book a while ago and forgot to leave a review. I think this book was absolutely wonderful and would consider it a must-read.
  • High Stakes (Book One, Nashville Nights, Next Generation) on Feb. 04, 2022

When any little thing went wrong, Alisa cried 'divorce'. Regardless, I enjoyed the book. It was good to see Trey and his wife again.
  • Game Time on Feb. 04, 2022

In what world is it okay to do what she did to Luke? As he said, it wasn't her decision to make. As a woman, I do not claim this woman's actions as a representation of our kind.
  • 2017 Christmas Coda on Feb. 05, 2022

    Very nice, thank you.
  • A Different Kind of Fairy Tale on Feb. 06, 2022

I'm glad she realized how unfair she was being to Alex. However, I don't think the blame lay solely with him; she shouldn't have been caught dead in that position in the first place. His reaction was completely normal.
  • A Mate's Escape on Feb. 06, 2022

I enjoyed the book and liked how the FL didn't let the ML control her, mate or not.
  • A Prince on the Run, A Royal Sweethearts Romance Novel, Book 1 The Casteloria on Feb. 06, 2022

Loved the book. I love romance books that have an action aspect to them. And this one was just that- with a dash of royalty.
  • An I.O.U. from a Billionaire on Feb. 06, 2022

It was a good book, but it's a bit too long for my taste.
  • Anybody but Justin on Feb. 06, 2022

I'm always a sucker for friends to lover romance and I liked this one. However, I think the way Gabby handled the "mistake" by cutting Justin off was uncalled for and frankly, mean.
  • Billionaire Romance: Escaping with The Bad Boy (Book One) on Feb. 06, 2022

The romance is a bit lacking. Callie basically uses Tag to get back at her parents. And the ending wasn't great.
  • Billionaire Romance: The Unforgettable Billionaire Brothers: CHASE (Book One) on Feb. 06, 2022

This was a decent read regarding romance. However, the book left a lot of questions unasnwered.
  • Blindside (A 5th Street Short) on Feb. 06, 2022

Surprise, surprise, Roni is the one in the wrong. What possessed her to hide those things from Noah. She should have known better. But in "Noah" she's complaining he may be too immature. Now look at the immature person. Communication in a relationship is key.
  • Christmas by the Sea: A Surf's Up Romance Novella on Feb. 06, 2022

This book brought tears to my eyes. I loved it.
  • Christmas Car Kerfuffle on Feb. 06, 2022

This was nice. The brother got what he deserved in the end. You don't get to run out on your wife and children then come back, give her a necklace meant for your girlfriend, and think she'll want you back. Nope. She found the man she was supposed to marry from the start.
  • Feathers in the Snow on Feb. 06, 2022

I enjoyed the book but I would have liked it to be a bit longer- maybe her meeting his family.
  • Helping Santa on Feb. 06, 2022

This book was written a little weird but I enjoyed it anyway.
  • My Cowboy Crush on Feb. 06, 2022

    I enjoyed reading this book.
  • Rule's Obsession on Feb. 06, 2022

I don't know if this is so healthy but the book was readable.
  • Steampunk Romance: Gas Light (Mystery Suspense Romance Short Stories) on Feb. 06, 2022

This was weird and the romance was non-existant.
  • The Bride and the Brute on Feb. 06, 2022

I enjoyed the book although I don't know when he stopped hating her and started liking her.
  • The Rancher's Orphan Bride on Feb. 06, 2022

This was a sweet, beautiful romance.
  • The Retreat (A Clean and Sweet Romance Novella) on Feb. 06, 2022

Oh yes. I liked this book although there could have been a bit more romance. But I would recommend it anyway.
  • True's Love on Feb. 06, 2022

As an African-American woman, this touched my heart. Yes, there are cruel people out there but there are also people like Clay. Loved this story.
  • Wild Weekend on Feb. 06, 2022

I knew Heath and Willow were destined to be together. What I didn't anticipate was her sister's romance. But I loved them both.
  • The Cop And The Girl From The Coffee Shop on Feb. 06, 2022

    This was an enjoyable read.
  • Samson on Feb. 07, 2022

I've read a lot of books about exes who don't want to let go and each and every time I was disappointed with the way that the FL handled the situation. They all didn't know to ask for help and thought they needed to be the hero. Mack wasn't like that. She knew when she needed help and asked for it. Adults could learn a thing or two. Mack made smark choices throughout the book. This book is one of my all-time favorite books.
  • Owned by the Hitman - A Bad Boy Mafia Romance on Feb. 09, 2022

Okay, let me get this straight, I'm on page 174. This girl had a bit too much to drink, goes home and gets a letter from a creepy dude that isn't signed, and decides to believe, not thinking that maybe it's from the creeps from earlier? God, she'd so fucking stupid.
  • Ella and the Wolf Prince on Feb. 11, 2022

This is a nice paranormal twist on Cinderella.
  • How to Stay Out of Prison: A Modern-Day Woman's Guide on Feb. 12, 2022

When I tell you that Lyric was certifiably CRAZY...I mean it. That girl had a few, no, all of her screws loose. And like her friend said, she didn't have a filter for stupid stuff but when it came to important things she clammed up. It was extremely irritating. She was unfair to Nixon as well.
  • Fever Claim on Feb. 16, 2022

I read this a while ago but I still remember how good a book it was and recommend reading it.
  • Cole on Feb. 19, 2022

Loved this book. You will too if you love alpha biker men and the women who don't take their shit.
  • Caj's Angel on Feb. 21, 2022

This was a sad and beautiful story all mixed together. It's about loving someone until the very end, then doing it all over again.
  • Claiming You (A Lennox in Love) on Feb. 24, 2022

This was a nice story. But Emory needs to stop being so quick to judge people.
  • Billionaires in Love, Book One: The Billionaire’s Bakery on Feb. 25, 2022

Was Jacob a billionaire? That seems kind of unrealistic. Also, Karly's father invited someone to the bakery and she had the audacity to just tell him to get out. That was extremely rude, especially since he wasn't even her guest. But it was a good book anyways.
  • Flames of Love: A Firefighter of Long Valley Romance Novel – Book 1 on Feb. 26, 2022

I really enjoyed reading this story- a perfect mixture of backstory, spiciness, romance, and realisticness. It is, however, on the long side, but that doesn't really diminish its appeal.
  • Inspire Me on Feb. 26, 2022

    Excellent read.
  • The Earl of My Heart on Feb. 27, 2022

Usually, in fiction books, the one in the wrong who makes me roll my eyes is the FL but in this book, it's actually the ML. As Emma said, he was an absolute fool, although during that time men almost always took responsibility so I can understand why he did what he did. But then I didn't like the fact that once things between him and Cassandra didn't work out he went crawling back to Emma immediately like she would be waiting for him and not moving on with her life. Overall, though, I loved the story.
  • Caesar: A Curvy Girl Small Town Romance (Firefighters with Hearts Book 1) on Feb. 28, 2022

I really enjoyed reading this book. I cringed at a few parts and cried at others. Can't wait to start book 2.
  • A Warrior's Heart: Marastin Dow Warriors Book 1.1 on Feb. 28, 2022

I really liked reading this book. It was different from any sci-fi book I've read before.
  • She-Wolf on Feb. 28, 2022

I really enjoyed reading this book. It deserves more than one star.
  • Dillon: A Curvy Girl Small Town Romance (Firefighters with Hearts Book 2) on Feb. 28, 2022

I enjoyed this one more than Caesar because the characters seemed more relatable, real, and developed.
  • Willow and the Wolf (Book One) on March 01, 2022
    (no rating)
So, let me get this straight. Willow chased after Mal despite the fact that he kept turning her down, and then, when he gives in and goes all the way, she wants to act pissed. If she'd just left him alone from the start, none of it would have happened. She's so stupid. Also, there's too much about Bishop and Ava in the book. At times I forgot this wasn't Ava and the Bear.
  • Willow and the Wolf (Book One) on March 01, 2022

Oh, and I forgot, those twin lion shifters are acting like the world was running out of women or something. They purposefully hit on women whom they know other men are interested in. And Ava. Why was she so upset later that whenever she and Bishop were together they got hot and heavy? I didn't see her complaining at the moment.
  • Because of Him on March 01, 2022

    This was a beautiful story.
  • Breaking Free (SEAL Team Heartbreakers) on March 01, 2022

This was a good book. I think Zoe was a bit...much...but not as bad as I've seen in other books about SEAL romance.
  • Billionaire's Mate on March 01, 2022

I liked this book for multiple reasons. 1- the length was my kind of length. 2- it wasn't the FL jumping to conclusions and assuming the worst in people so often portrayed.
  • Contractual Attraction on March 01, 2022

    This was...different but nice.
  • Cowboy Paradise on March 01, 2022

    I enjoyed this story.
  • The Wolf's Call. Two-Natured London 1. on March 01, 2022

    This was aggravating but interesting.
  • To Be Seen on March 01, 2022

This is a very weird book, not just the concept but also the way it is written. I'm glad the characters got their happy ending though.
  • Jayden: A Curvy Girl Small Town Romance (Firefighters with Hearts Book 3) on March 02, 2022

I loved this one as well! I liked how, unlike the other ones, this one was the ML and FL against the world and not the ML and FL against each other. And props to Lucy for going to hear him out and not jumping to conclusions, as easy and understandable as that would have been.
  • Grim's Little Reaper on March 04, 2022

I'm not into BDSM between people past their prime, but even still I can admire the effort put into this book. If Daddy Doms and Littles are your scene, then this is a good read.
  • All the Right Moves on March 04, 2022

I read this a long time ago and I loved it.
  • The Daddy Pact on March 05, 2022

I loved the book, but Jess' reaction at the end was uncalled for. What did she expect? He started out wanting to right his brother's wrongs. I don't get why Dan had to get drunk for her to see that. It was kind of weird. But overall, a good book.
  • Greylock Manor: A Wolf Shifter Romance (Wolf Mountain Pack Book 1) on March 06, 2022

This was a good book. The romance was well-paced. My only complaint was I would have liked a more complete ending.
  • Typhon on March 08, 2022

This book was amazing. Plain and simple. Rylee is the definition of a strong woman and Stone is the definition of a strong man. They were perfect together. The emotions in this book ran high and the romance was perfect.
  • Single Daddy on March 09, 2022

This was a pretty good book.
  • Baby, I'm Home on March 09, 2022

This was a good book. I'm glad Jenna realized that the problem mostly lay with her and not Chad.
  • Pendragon's Princess on March 10, 2022

I always knew women who jumped to conclusions were stupid, but Katy really took the cake and got Lloyd killed. She really him of all people killed. It's disgusting and it isn't fair that she gets to be happy while her stupidity caused other people grief.
  • Serving My Soldier on March 10, 2022

This was a really beautiful book and I teared up at some parts. My only complaint is that I would have liked to see in-person interaction between Gus and Gretchen. The emails at the beginning were fine, but then they first met and that entire part was skipped and at the end, they were on the phone. But other than that, this was a good book.
  • Taking on Tory: Magic, New Mexico Book 2 on March 10, 2022

I personally don't understand Tory's brother. If someone flys out to where your sister lives, I don't think it's just so they can sleep with her. Pretty sure it's love. He got what he deserved. This was a good book.
  • A Search for Love on March 10, 2022

I don't understand why the author chose to make that certain woman the high priestess. All it brought was heartache and the story seemed incomplete with that ending. Is there a book 2 for his best friend? But overall, the book was good.
  • Love Off The Rocks on March 10, 2022

    This was a good read.
  • Into the Light (Lightbearer Book 1) on March 12, 2022

This was such a good book!
  • Ruthless on March 17, 2022

Read this book a long time ago and I loved it.
  • Chasing His Bunny on March 17, 2022

This was a good read but the "Mr.such-and-such" got to be a bit much. At first, it was fine when she didn't know his name but afterward, it was kind of annoying.
  • Frankie on March 17, 2022

Loved this book! I've never read one like it.
  • Gertrude's Grace on March 17, 2022

This was an interesting, funny read.
  • His Lady Warrior on March 17, 2022

Talk about misunderstanding and miscommunication. Great read.
  • Night with a SEAL on March 17, 2022

This was a great book! I always have loved SEAL romance.
  • Sleeping with the Boss on March 17, 2022

We love a good woman boss. Usually, with books about office romance, the man is the boss. I loved this book since it switched the positions but didn't make Alex appear weak or Vanessa appear to be a bitch.
  • The Holy Ghost on March 17, 2022

Good read. The FL was a bit stupid though and the ML a bit overbearing.
  • The Hitman Falls on March 18, 2022

This was a good book but not what I expected. A little more of the hitman aspect would have been nice. The title alludes to him being a hitman being a main factor in the story, yet it was more about him and his nephew. Still, great read.
  • Sleeping With The Enemy: A Paranormal-Vampire Short Story on March 18, 2022

I like short stories but this was a bit short for even my taste. It was a good read though, although a more complete ending would have been nice.
  • Queen of His Heart on March 19, 2022

This was one of my favorite books of all time. We always love a good girl gone bad. Dom and Haley's maniac relationship is everything. I give it a 10/5.
  • The Boss's Woman on March 22, 2022

I don't know what Misty's problem was. Why would she assume Carter would want to make things official with her while she went home to another man every single night? And when he asked her to leave him, she wants to talk about being afraid, yet months later she left him. Misty is a really stupid person.
  • The Billionaire's Impromptu Bet on March 22, 2022

I really liked this book. Usually, female leads in books are the humble ones but in this book the female lead is the snobby, airhead rich girl. I loved seeing her change over the course of this book.
  • Lot # 165 on March 22, 2022

This was really weird and confusing and the romance was lacking but it wasn't unreadable.
  • Kissin' Hell on March 22, 2022

Loved this book. We love an enemies-to-lovers romance with a paranormal twist.
  • Firecracker Queen on March 22, 2022

Betsey has issues. At first, she accuses Quent of being there to bad mouth the town. She, of all people, should know that people can change- yet she just judges him without knowing him. Then, when she finds that he wrote an inspiring piece, she's like 'this must have been for a competition' and can't bring herself to say he's a good guy. Also, the romance wasn't really there: we got two kisses total.
  • Sexual Healing on March 23, 2022

This was a good book. I just wish it was longer.
  • Megan's Mate (The Borough Boys Book 4) on March 23, 2022

So was Lucas an alpha or a beta? Great book either way.
  • Beautifully Wounded on March 25, 2022

This was such a good read.
  • Big, Black and Beautiful on March 25, 2022

    Very nice.
  • An Unexpected Twist on March 25, 2022

I love workplace romance. This was no exception.
  • Logan (Steele Protectors 1) on March 26, 2022

Loved it. August had just enough sass and Logan just enough rudeness.
  • Reaper on March 27, 2022

This was a really good book.
  • Sizzling Hot Daddy on March 28, 2022

This book was good right up until the end when it got confusing and I wasn't sure why Gracie made a huge fuss after Luke explained.
  • My Demon Lover on March 28, 2022

    Great book!
  • My Human Lover on March 28, 2022

This was a good book but I don't know what Kitt's problem was. Andreus never told her he was a virgin before her or anything- so why did she get so pissy when she ran into his ex-lover? He didn't get upset with her when they ran into her ex-boyfriend! It had me shaking my head.
  • Hot Property on March 29, 2022

Serena was dumb and just plain evil. Who just sets out to "use and abuse" (her words, not mine) someone over a stupid high school crush? Like what was her problem? She still did it when she knew what Mark was going through. Terrible, terrible woman.
  • Christmas on Eldora Station on April 01, 2022

This was shorter than I imagined. It is 2 pages. But it was a sweet story nonetheless.
  • Lightning on April 01, 2022

This book started off quite slow. When they met ten years later, it was weird how she was sticking to his side- and he was falling for it. I felt like he didn't have any closure after she broke it off and then immediately jumped into her arms again.
  • Falling For the Foe on April 02, 2022

It was a beautiful and informative story but I just found the romance lacking.
  • Facing the Enemy on April 02, 2022

Ramsey and Emerson were all kinds of messed up but this book had me on edge throughout.
  • Wild Surrender on April 02, 2022

    This was a good book.
  • All In on April 02, 2022

Did she ever say thank you? Good book regardless of her ungratefulness.
  • Open House on April 03, 2022

I really enjoyed this book. (I've already read book 2 so I can't wait to start book 3!)
  • Cloudburst Ice Magic on April 06, 2022

Great book although Lily's anger was unfounded since Zach wasn't returning Caroline's flirting.
  • Steele (Daring the Kane Brothers) on April 10, 2022

This is book 2 in the series, correct? I loved Token and I liked this one as well. I do think Jay should have explained why she didn't want to be with him in the first place and it would have saved everyone some time.
  • A Hustler's Christmas on April 14, 2022

I love a good girl, bad boy romance. Great book.
  • Claiming Her Highwayman on April 14, 2022

I'm not sure what Will was thinking but okay...at least it turned out alright. I would have liked to know what happened when the princess found out.
  • Darwin's Evolution on April 14, 2022

A strong man AND a strong woman. Yes! I haven't seen a book like this. Mostly, when authors describe "strong women", the women are just stubborn and end up making stupid assumptions and choices that have the men saving them later on. Sadie was the true definition of a strong woman. She knew how to hold her own and see logic.
  • Hex on April 14, 2022

This was a strange yet interesting story. Loved it.
  • Sleeping With the Band on April 14, 2022

I found this book quite weird, but it wasn't bad.
  • Wildfire's Heart on April 16, 2022

    Great read!
  • Noah and Kate - The Reunion on April 17, 2022

Great book. Not what I expected but great nonetheless. Kate was a wonderful woman and she didn't jump to conclusions. Noah was a great guy.
  • Defying Asher (Knight Security 1) on April 20, 2022

This was really good. It was emotion and passion packed.
  • Unmatched on April 20, 2022

This was a good sci-fi romance book.
  • Matteo (Dance with the Devil 1) on April 28, 2022

    Good read.
  • Highland Sorcerer on May 02, 2022

This was a good book but I would have liked a more complete-ish ending for Toren and Charity's romance.
  • Easter Cookie on May 02, 2022

This was an interesting book. Among all of them, this one had the most complete, happy-for-now ending.
  • Beauty and the Sheikh on May 02, 2022

Definitely blackmail. And while I'm happy they got their happy ending, it just seemed to come about all wrong. But overall good book.
  • Beauty in It on May 02, 2022

This was an emotional book and I loved it. I wished it had a more complete ending though.
  • Coming Home: A Sweet Small Town Romance on May 02, 2022

This was a beautiful story about a second chance at that normally once-in-a-lifetime love.
  • Derailed (Clayton Falls) on May 02, 2022

This was a sad and beautiful story about self-forgiveness and second-chance love.
  • Loving The Fire Chief on May 02, 2022

Great book but of course there was some overreacting on the part of Carly.
  • Last Call on Eldora Station on May 02, 2022

This was a decent book but it could have been a little less jarring in how the events played out.
  • Resisting the Enemy on May 04, 2022

The children are even crazier than the parents (because they know their crazy parents will back them), and I am here for it. I can't believe Dash made that same mistake though. I believe it was Ramsey that did it too (or was it what happened in Typhon? They're similar characters I get them mixed up sometimes). This book was emotion packed and most of the time Eden spent hating Dash, which was understandable. I would have just liked to see their happiness together some. First, there was the few months skip and then the epilogue skip. But other than that, I loved this book.
  • Burned (Dragos Book 1) on May 05, 2022

This was a great book. I wish it was longer.
  • Something Wicked This Way Comes on May 06, 2022

This was a really interesting book and has a great twist on regular historical romance.
  • Dress Rehearsal on May 06, 2022

    Excellent book.
  • Bloodstorm (Heart of a Vampire, Book 1) on May 07, 2022

This was a really interesting book- 10/10 would recommend it.
  • Loving the Billionaire Heir Doc on May 08, 2022

It's funny how she was preaching to him about not jumping to conclusions when she did it before she even knew him and with Lauren. Overall, this was a really good book. I enjoyed reading it.
  • Punishing Thirst on May 11, 2022

This was an interesting book. I enjoyed reading it.
  • Cop An Attitude on May 12, 2022

This was a great book. Obviously, there was room for improvement on both sides. Waverly needed to learn to stop seeing the worst in everything, and Pete needed to make up his mind.
  • Falling for Jack on May 13, 2022

This was a sweet story. Jack had so much on his plate: first the betrayal, then Eric. Yet he managed to get through them both and still have time to fall in love.
  • His Second Chance on May 20, 2022

The agenda in this book is real. When the author said that she had an agenda, I thought it was going to be a romance novel with an overlay of a healthy food discussion. But no. This was a book about healthy food with an overlay of a romance novel. And I didn't mind the concept much because I am also conscious about what I eat. What I did not like was how technical it got to the point of it almost seeming like non-fiction, as if the author was more concerned with blasting food companies instead of writing the story. Also, the conspiracy theories weren't appreciated. Overall, the book was decent. The romance was a bit lacking but the characters were well developed.
  • Worth The Risk on May 20, 2022

I read this book a while ago and did not get the chance to rate it. But this was a really good book and I would highly recommend it to others to read.
  • Fatal Desires (Fatal Cross Live! Book 1) on May 20, 2022

This was a good book. Obviously, communication would have fixed a lot of problems but that wouldn't have made the book as interesting.
  • A Doctor Second Chance for the Rancher on May 21, 2022

This was very fast-paced and unrealistic but somehow it made sense. Really good quick read.
  • Everything You Desire on May 23, 2022

So let me get this straight. Rose really believes that all rich people are terrible just because she encountered a few rich fools? So when she meets an actually nice rich person, she thinks they're faking it? Talk about childish and stupid. And then she just assumes he's an escort because of something he said that wasn't "I am an escort"? She takes the cake as one of the most annoying and dumb women I've ever read about. I would give this 0/5 stars for that but I really liked Kalen and the storyline was pretty good.
  • Ridden: A Second-Chance Bad Boy Romance on May 28, 2022

This was a good book. I'm glad AJ went away to find himself because it was something he needed to get through on his own. There's only so much you can lean on a person for before it becomes unhealthy. However, while I like a fast-paced romance, they were having sex hours after they "reconnected", which was a bit fast, especially considering why she had gone back home. A woman who has two children and a business should have had more class than that. But overall great, however cliche, book.
  • Complications over Coffee on May 28, 2022

    I really enjoyed this book.
  • Blindsided on May 31, 2022

This was one hell of a book. Usually, when the main characters (Mika and Hannah) split up, I'm eager for them to get back together. But not in this book. I didn't want Hannah to get together with Mika, not after the way he treated her. In the beginning, he was extremely rude for no reason. Hannah shouldn't have been so lenient with him them. She dropped her life to take care of four children she didn't even know existed and all he can do is glare at her and call her incompetent. Then, he starts going out with Carla while trying to ban Hannah from going out with Conner. The double standard was real. Then, as soon as Lucy came back he dropped Hannah like a hot potato and treated her so poorly and wanted to get pissed that she was leaving. Well what the hell did he think she was going to do? He was a complete idiot and Hannah should have never taken him back. Romances are supposed to have happy endings but it should not have been Hannah with Mika. I don't think Mika could have redeemed himself after everything he had done. Not to mention that he was so controlling and walked all over Hannah in the beginning when she and her kids (not his) moved in. And, he was going out and kissing women when he was still married. Mika is the type of man who women should avoid at all costs. I probably missed some of his faults. But engaging read.
  • Sin for You (Rocktown Ink #2)) on June 02, 2022

Really intense book. I loved how both Logan and Quinn came to terms with their pasts and found a way to move on together.
  • Man of Her Dreams on June 02, 2022

This was a really good book- a mix of modern romance with paranormal/fantasy. I have never read a book like it. 10/10 would recommend.
  • VeriSEAL, a Short Story on June 06, 2022

This was a really good story. The problem with a lot of short stories is that they feel incomplete. This one didn't. It felt complete. The action was spot on, the plot riveting, and the romance was good.
  • Bred By The Billionaire Vamp on June 06, 2022

This was a very intense and interesting story.
  • Dark Horse on June 06, 2022

This was a really good book because it showed that all men aren't suave and have their shit together. The woman took initiative in the relationship. And I always have loved the large family romance, and a good plot. Overall excellent book.
  • Daughters of Dunfeld: A Horror-Historical Romance on June 06, 2022

This book was really good especially since it was 3-in-1. All sisters and their love interests were interesting characters and I liked how the romance was different in each story.
  • Hot Ink on June 06, 2022

I loved this book. It's always nice to see a plot about someone as selfless as Mina finally getting some of the happiness she deserves. And Eric was wonderful and understanding.
  • King's Throne on June 06, 2022

Okay. This has to be one of my favorite books of all time for many different reasons. 1- There were no stupid misunderstandings. (In fact, there were no misunderstandings period.) 2- Gina wasn't one of those stupid women who don't know how to use their brains (such as in the fight when I guarantee you most women wouldn't have stepped back to avoid being used as leverage). 3- The overall storyline was great; it went Mitch and Gina meet, fall in love, fight the battle, not Mitch and Gina meet, argue, fight, and finally admit they're in love. 4- I like how the story did not end right after the battle but showed Mitch cleaning up the pride. The only thing I would have liked was for Mitch to find out about the baby at the end.
  • Ridge on June 06, 2022

    Really good story.
  • Sleeping With Your Best Friend on June 06, 2022

Great book although that friendship was all kinds of messed up and toxic. I would have liked a more complete ending for Matt and Lori though.
  • The Heartwood Sea on June 06, 2022

Good book. Alissa needs to learn to trust more and not jump to conclusions. I'm glad Shawn didn't just take her back- it wouldn't have set a good example. And I'm wondering what her sister was thinking when she threw them together. Did she not expect something to happen when she knew they had history? But then she wants to get upset about it.
  • Where the Path Leads on June 06, 2022

I loved how Cory was like "I want one" at the end after holding the baby once. Really sweet.
  • Porch Pirate Love on June 06, 2022

I was very excited to read this book as soon as I read the description because the plot seemed so new and exciting. Unfortunately, it was a big let-down. I got to chapter 10 before I stopped reading. I mean, I thought the book was about Danny and Kit? Why am I reading about her sleeping with her ex? I understand that they share a child, but I felt like the story went off the rails. Danny was thrown in jail how many chapters before and then we haven't heard about him. But we have learned the entire life story of the kidnapping sisters and Kit's renewed relationship with her ex who dropped her like a hot potato when he learned she was pregnant. So yeah. No thanks. Maybe it will get better but I have no desire to continue reading.
  • Christmas in July: A Dickens Holiday Romance on June 08, 2022

Oh gosh. If this book hadn't been less than 20K words, I would have not finished it. So in the beginning, Sylvia was acting stupid because Chase literally told her why he was there and she kept asking why he was there when he said to scout a location and she knew that already. Then, she wanted to use the fact that she was born there just to win instead of it being fair. Well newsflash to her, she lives in LA so it's not like she lived there. And at the cookie competition, she expected her friend to make her win just because they were friends. Like... has she ever heard of fair and square? Her entire attitude throughout the entire book was really poor, and as Chase pointed out- childish. Then, she lied to her boss and didn't just tell her that someone else was trying to get the permits. No wonder she got fired. She was such a sore loser as well. And she was like "Chase got my contract" like it was guaranteed for her just because she was born there. And then you have Chase, who was seriously considering withdrawing for her sake. He even offered to withdraw and she said "no" then went on later to rant to her friend that Chase didn't care what happened to her. Um..hello- he just offered to withdraw for you. She was annoying throughout the entire book and I am so glad that Chase got the deal because she didn't deserve it. She deserved everything she got, and more. Also, the jump between chapter 9 and the epilogue was a bit jarring since they went from her still being upset to them being engaged.
  • The Rancher's Second Chance on June 10, 2022

This was beautiful. I liked how the author gave us the backstory in the beginning so that we would understand how much Anne meant to him. It also seemed realistic to how actual parents that were dipping their toe into the dating pool would act, especially John. We didn't see how Abby really handled it. Overall, really sweet book.
  • Sweet Hart Inn at Harbor Falls: A Small Town, Second Chance Romance, Two-Book Series Starter on June 10, 2022

Both stories were really good. I think that Suzie's story was a bit more evenly paced and had a more complete ending, but I still enjoyed reading Shelley's story as she settled down in Harbor Falls.
  • Red Hot Mama on June 13, 2022

I have mixed feelings about this book. On the one hand, there were no stupid misunderstandings between Dylan and Ezekiel. But on the other hand, Dylan was using every little thing to break up with Zeke. She left him because he wouldn't show her a tattoo! A tattoo! Like...what? And she left him again when he made plans with Mason without her permission. Well hello, you're heading toward a serious relationship with this man and if that's the case he will be Mason's step-father. And if you didn't trust him with Mason, why the hell are you dating him? And then Zeke was the one always chasing her when she needed to learn to make concessions. But what irritated me the most was when at the beginning of their relationship she told him to keep his own place for when it ended. She was planning for it to end before it really began. He jumped in with both feet in and she barely had her toe in the relationship. But besides that, this was a good book.
  • The Seduction of Lord Stone on June 15, 2022

Correct me if I am wrong, but Caroline was denying burning passion and that once-in-a-lifetime kind of love so she could sleep around? Interesting. Good story.
  • Safe Haven: A Sweet, Small Town Romance on June 17, 2022

This was a really good book. It was nice to read Tank's story after first reading about him in John and Rachel's story from the Emerald Lake Billionaire series.
  • Forever Wishes: A Small Town Romance on June 25, 2022

This was a really good book. I loved how Erin sacrificed her plans for Jake yet ended up getting them in the end. The story was beautiful and I liked how they were honest with what they both wanted in the beginning.
  • Christmas On Main Street: A Sweet Small Town Christmas Romance (Santa's Secret Helpers, Book 1) on June 25, 2022

I read this book a long time ago and just re-read it today. It was a really interesting book. I'm glad Leeanna Morgan didn't make Mark a deadbeat ex-husband, but instead someone who could find redemption. I wonder if she'll write a book for him as his story seems intriguing. But for a smart woman, I don't see how Emma couldn't realize that playing happy family with Mark wouldn't make Jack feel uncomfortable. Imagine if he had kids and his ex-wife came back and he decided to play happy family like she hadn't ditched him and their children. She would most definitely feel hurt and unsure. But overall the book was really good and there were no silly misunderstandings that could've been avoided with a little communication.
  • Phantom Riders MC - Hawk on June 25, 2022

This was a really good book. It was explosive and the characters were well written. A page-turner for sure.
  • Father’s Day with Princess Petunia on June 28, 2022

This was a really sweet romance and I loved how Bobby handled Greg's son. Also, Darla was adorable and the book was really funny. This is a good choice if you need a quick, sweet read with no complications.
  • Heaven for Us on June 29, 2022

This was a really good post-apocalyptic romance.
  • Ravished by the Wolf on June 29, 2022

This was a good book, but I would have liked it to be longer. It's not a cliff-hanger ending, per se, but it feels incomplete.
  • Two Cabins, One Lake: An Alaskan Romance on July 02, 2022

This book was so funny, steamy, and had just enough action. That prank she and Gary pulled on her brothers? Hilarious. Loved the entire book.
  • An Evergreen Christmas on July 02, 2022

Sweet romance. I loved how she opened her home to her patient. That was beautiful.
  • Colton on July 02, 2022

I'm not sure why authors constantly make women in their books feel less than enough because of something they couldn't control. But overall, this was a good story and I enjoyed reading it.
  • Daddy Esquire: Older Man Younger Woman Age Gap Billionaire Romance on July 02, 2022

Daddy doms are my cup of tea, but this was still a good book.
  • Ares (Guardians of Hades Romance Series Book 1) on July 02, 2022

Ah hell. This was was absolutely amazing. Zero complaints. I liked how Ares and Megan worked on their relationship throughout the book instead of fighting with each other. Now I've been suckered into another page-turning series. But I'm not complaining.
  • Scottish Werebear: Books 1-3 on July 02, 2022

I liked how each book in the series was connected but at the same time completely different, especially the first one compared to the last two. Overall, this was a good series (not too long- around 100 pages per series) and I'm going to continue with the other books.
  • Love Wears A Stetson on July 02, 2022

This book was okay. I feel like Wyatt just stomping off because he "couldn't give her everything she deserved" was straight-up dumb and the author's poor attempt at creating drama to produce a longer story or a less smooth relationship. If you love someone, you don't leave them because you don't have a lot of money. And then he has the audacity to mope around like his heart got broken. I'm glad his mother put her foot down because he was acting like a child. I think my favorite part of the entire story was when both Wyatt and Kenna's father wanted to know the smallest size stetson they could buy.
  • The Enforcer: Devil's Henchmen MC, Book One on July 03, 2022

This book is only 30,000 words, so I was confused why it turned out to be over 300 pages. Turns out, it was 18-point font, double-spaced, with 3-inch margins, so just a few words per page. I didn't mind though. Overall, this was a really good book and I read it in one sitting.
  • Just My Imagination on July 06, 2022

This was an interesting book. The concept was unlike anything I've read before. For the first time, I was glad that the heroine died. And although the book was only about 30 pages, it didn't leave me feeling like more could have been said.
  • City of Simplicity on July 09, 2022

This was a nice, captivating short read.
  • Treasure Heart on July 09, 2022

This was an okay book. Overall, it was a good book that kept me on the edge of my seat wondering how everything was connected, but I feel like the romance was sorely lacking- almost nonexistent. More detail was paid to the surroundings' description than the love between Gus and Sarah or between Jake and Janet, yet it's categorized as romance. Also, if the story was about Sarah, why was it all basically from Jake's perspective?
  • Truth or Dare on July 16, 2022

Because this was a short book, my expectations weren't very high. However, I absolutely loved this book. The climax was perfect and the story was really interesting. My only wish is that it was longer because I hated when it ended.
  • Indebted on July 16, 2022

This was such a good book. The only part that annoyed me was when Journey got so upset because Laz was defending her that she ignored him for days but as soon as she was in trouble, she wanted to speak to him. If Laz was just as petty as she was, she would have been dead. She needed to get her priorities straight. But other than that, this was a good book.
  • Eternal Temptation - Book #4 (The Kategan Alphas Series) on July 16, 2022

I've gotten to page 40 and I'm not sure if I will continue reading. She's literally sexually assaulting him in his sleep. Since when was that okay? The book so far has been really weird. For a woman running away from someone, Cassie seems more interested in having sex than staying alive.
  • Jace - Book #1 (Bodyguards for Hire series) on July 17, 2022

This was a really good book. No silly misunderstandings. She had a legitimate reason to want to stay away from Jace. However, I felt like the climactic ending with Corey felt so over-used and unoriginal. So many scenes follow the same format: the hero sends the heroine to safety, the heroine doesn't listen and goes back for the hero, the antagonist catches the heroine, the heroine realizes she's in deep shit and decides to laugh like a maniac, hero steps in and saves the day. I really am tired of reading the same ole formats. It would have been nice if Mara dealt with Corey once and for all to show that he had no more power over her. I'm not saying hand-to-hand combat because that would have been unrealistic, but at the very least she could have hit him over the head and knocked him out like she did in the beginning to keep him restrained until Gio arrived. But other than such a cliche part, this book was good.
  • At the Cowboy's Mercy on July 21, 2022

    This was a good book.
  • The Cowboy's Saving Grace on July 21, 2022

This was an okay book. I have mixed feelings about Grace. She takes Liam to her place knowing he will meet his son, yet when he steps up to be a father she gets upset about it. Did she expect him to write his own child off and move on?
  • Firefighter Love: Curvy Girl Alpha Male Romance on July 21, 2022

This was a nice short read. I wish it was longer.
  • Rome for the Holidays on July 21, 2022

This was a okay book. I’m just confused on why her friend would tell her she’s not good enough for someone. Aren’t friends supposed to support you? And when he thought she was just a server, why didn’t she correct him instead of getting upset? That would have been a much better reaction. Arie wasn’t my favorite heroine.
  • Conn on July 21, 2022

This was a very good book. I just wish Conn would have been more straightforward about where he and Aries stood at the end- it would have solved a lot of problems.
  • The Crazy Girl's Handbook on July 21, 2022

My first impressions of Greenly was that she jumped to conclusions (which I was sure would be a pain later on) and she was high-strung. For example, chapter 7, Roman asks her why she refused to go out with him when she agreed to everyone else, and if it was because he was a single dad. Instead of answering the question (because earlier she had told herself that she had turned down Roman for an altogether different reason) she gets upset and jumps to conclusions. Like is she for real? He asked her a simple question yet she screwed it all up instead of saying ‘oh, she was going through something at the time’. But as the book progressed, I felt like she matured, especially with the way she handled Jennifer, and I actually liked her character. Speaking of Jennifer, I am glad that the author gave her some redemption. Usually with ex-spouses, they are a problem for beginning to end but Jen actually got better. And of course this book was extremely funny that I laughed constantly. Overall excellent book.
  • The Mechanic (Book One, Working Men) on July 21, 2022

This was a interesting short read. I liked it.
  • Fighting Flames on July 27, 2022

This was a good book. I think that she had no reason to be angry about Nick saving her life. Sure she could be embarrassed about what happened but he was doing his job. Also, the end felt rushed. The entire story was progressing nicely up until the last part, and while I like a happy ending, this one didn’t fit. One minute he’s spewing hurtful words and then few days or so later he’s declaring his love. But overall the story was good.
  • The Problem with Fire on July 31, 2022

This was a good book although I'm not sure how Monroe didn't put two and two together regarding Daria when she'd already met the women. She should have seen what was going on.
  • Heathens on Aug. 11, 2022

I've read some other of Keely Tate's books and they have been good. I have quite a few lined up in my library still that I plan on reading. But this one was not my favorite. I cringed my way through this book. I found it weird that he almost immediately began referring to her children as his and how he liked forcing her- and she let him. I know it is supposed to be an insta-love story but instead of seeming like a whirlwind romance, it felt rushed and cringy.
  • Hearts Don't Break on Aug. 11, 2022

This was a good book. The way it was written was a little strange but the concept and execution were good.
  • Lucky: The Brothers (Book 1) on Aug. 12, 2022

I'm confused. Lucky had feelings for Jake for years. Now he's paying attention to her and all she manages to do is piss him off. Like, Jake was basically telling her he wanted to be with her and she turns and agrees to a date with another guy because of some hearsay? I didn't like her character. Nor Jake's, really. He was violent with her and that's not okay.
  • Double Dare on Aug. 24, 2022

I enjoyed this book but was disappointed with the heroine's response to the threat. Say the threat was a false alarm, what's the worse that could have happened? She put her career on hold for a couple of weeks? But say the threat was real and she treated it like it wasn't. She could have ended up in the hospital or dead. Her career would be on hold for a lot longer then. I'm not saying she should have jumped in Jag's arms like a damsel in distress, but she could have taken it seriously. And I'm confused about Jag as well because Zoe told him she loved him and he still thought she didn't want to be with him. Did he completely forget what she said?
  • Sunshyne and the Werewolf on Oct. 11, 2022

This was a really good book- right up until the end when she promised to tell him how she felt and then chickened out at the last minute. Cage had told her he wanted to settle down but all she seemed to focus on was that he didn't have a home at that time and how much he liked to wonder. For that, I can only give it 4 stars and not 5.
  • Midnight Man on Oct. 22, 2022

Loved this book. Simple as that.
