Although I was born and grew up in Wales, I now reside in Portugal, where I share a house with Mrs Snooks and four cats. I have been writing for over twenty years and keep the wolf from the door by ghostwriting, which while being a pleasant way to earn a crust, leaves me little to no time to pursue my own projects. This book of short stories is, I hope, the first of more works to come.

Smashwords Interview

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I was born and raised in Wales, though I don't think it had any influence on my writing. My biggest influence came from my uncle, George Evans, who was a scriptwriter. He counted The Navy Lark amongst his many successes.
When did you first start writing?
My first recollection was when I was seven or eight. I wrote a humorous adventure story that incorporated many of my classmates. I wrote it during the mid-morning and mid-afternoon lesson breaks when it was raining - so plenty of those, being in Wales. One breaktime, my teacher came over and asked what I was doing, so I showed her. She looked it over, liked what she saw and asked if she could read it out to the class. I agreed, and they all loved it.
