So first, I fully acknowledge that I am a rather twisted individual. Please heed all warnings that this is a rather dark and depraved novel. That being said, there is absolutely plenty of character development, world building, and plot to go along with the depravity. I very much enjoyed seeing how the demon feeder struggles to reconcile himself with what he becomes and what he must do. Learning more about the demonic hierarchy was fascinating as well. Absolutely worth reading if you enjoy the darkness!

I think I'm more heartbroken after this story than anything else. I hope Tristan won't be the last time our incubus finds someone like that. I liked the progression with seeing more of the demonic world again and I'm very much looking forward to seeing what they get up to in the next cycle.

Wow, I was not expecting that. Some of the darkness in this book became a special brand of dark. In my opinion it was justified, but it was still a little more difficult to read for me for a very particular topic. I'm not giving away spoilers though, so you'll have to read for yourself and find out. It was still a good read and I'm going to keep going since I want to see how things develop with the apprentice and what happens at the end of the cycle. I am liking how the plot continues to develop.

I loved this book and especially how the characters and story are evolving. Plus, our core cast has now doubled and for the first time ever there are plans to keep humans for more than one cycle. I'm beyond excited to read the next one and see how things go. If you can handle or maybe even enjoy darkness and depravity then this entire series is an absolute must read.

Oh man, this was so good. It picked up quickly from where the last book left off and we are still in the same exciting cycle. We meet even more new beings in this tale as the story expands and an early enemy makes a reappearance. I'm really excited to see what happens next and I hope the series continues for quite some time.
