What motivated you to become an indie author?
I found out that it could be done, if I was willing to figure out things for myself and invest a little money. I`ve previously published two books in paper. That went well, but the benefits of ebooks are numerous and substantial. Luckily I found out about Smashwords, so here I am.
What's the story behind your latest book?
From creating a quiz it naturally follows that I aquire some trivia knowledge myself, so that`s allways a good thing. It`s not just the content in my book that I had to read, the ideas to the qustions are something that often comes while reading more generally about a topic.
I also wanted to make a quiz that was a little different. In many quizes there are short questions with short answers. That`s allright for a test of pure knowledge, but as a source for aquiring more knowledge, it is not optimal. So a lot of the qustions in my book are longer. Often providing some general info about the topic, before asking the questions. I think the effect of this is twofold. More info naturally means more potential for learning new stuff. But I also beleve it makes the qustions themselves more interesting. That means that the info given is more likely to get stuck in the brain, as opposed to entering one ear and leaving the other. Not all other quizes has the problems of shortly formulated questions and answers of course, but a great many of them do.
Another benefit of elaborating a little more, is that I got to throw in a little joke here and there, so I hope the readers share my sence of humour.
