Smashwords Interview

When did you first start writing?
I started drafting my first novel in 1990, shortly after relocating to Thailand. The new culture and environment had a profound effect on me, stirring the creative energies within me.
What's the story behind your latest book?
My initial novel became so long I decided to publish it as a trilogy. The story follows the life of Nick Price, a rough Londoner who flees to Bangkok in 1969 to start a new life. Nick is down on his luck and gets involved with some outrageous antics in an effort to make money. After a few years engaged in low-life activity, he stumbles upon the knowledge of a secret hiding place of a horde of gold stashed away in the wake of the Dalai Lama leaving Tibet, and cannot resist the temptation to retrieve it. Unfortunately for Nick, the task is harder than he expects and results in tragic consequences which will haunt him for the rest of his life.
