College Park, Maryland USA native Steve Husk discovered the joys of writing in the summer between 9th and 10th grades, and wrote something every day before the demands of school, girls, work, rock bands and percussion ensembles, girls, sports, and girls, herded him away from the pad and pen.
But that didn’t last long. Even in the midst of college, raising a family, and working a variety of jobs (supermarket cashier, percussion instructor, frozen food handler, youth counselor volunteer, janitor, stock car pit crew worker, rock keyboardist and bassist, produce clerk, car salesman, and currently a web applications developer), Steve continued to follow his "write something every day" philosophy. In fact, he still does.
Steve practices his craft in Manassas, Virginia.

“Top Notch” is packed with music, Olympic-style athletics, and outright fun! It contains no conflict…except when Billy is ordered to rig the events so even the less talented teams can compete. No drama…except when Billy has to deal with the excluded and the excuse makers. No internal struggles…except for when Billy realizes his own excuse for quitting something that means everything to him.
Oracle of Sentry Ridge
This is a story for those who like to predict future events. Billy Mecklenburg is starting to wish he didn’t know how. Sentry Ridge guests heard about Billy’s ability, and bombarded him with requests for predictions about their future. He played along, and was always right. But, then the *real* visions started happening...and the ones about his band disturbed him.
Metzgerhund Retreat: Imperial Rules
This story is for those who create their own rules to get what they want. Billy Mecklenburg got his entire band hired as beach park activity counselors to prepare for a major battle of the bands. The plan worked perfectly...except their new boss made them work an insane schedule that kept them from practicing. Billy decided it was time for new rules...and all he had to do was outsmart the boss.
Beyond the Conscious Breath
Bloppta-glokk had the disturbing ability of experiencing waking visions that reveal what someone else sees just before they die. The Renndigan Decision Elite knew theirs wasn’t the only species that possessed this ability, and they wanted to use it as a military advantage; it was just a matter of manipulating the last thing the deceased saw. And Bloppta-glokk would be their test subject.

Deeseus Tork discovered a far more nefarious use for pollution than merely destroying one’s own planet. It was profitable, too.
