Steve Taylor

Steve Taylor grew up in the smallest of Midwest towns: Hedrick, Indiana; population fifty. Rural living in the 60s and 70s afforded great opportunities for imagination and creativity, and the cultivation of faith. The combination of these qualities set the author on an unlikely path, mixing technology with pastoral ministry. Something of the idealism of that era drew the author to a significant - although often neglected - biblical message and theme: the kingdom of God. With a passion for reclaiming the ideals and energy of this prophesied age to come, Taylor's writings rarely deviate far from this provocative theme.

Married since 1976, Steve Taylor and his wife, Jill, are parents of two married adult children, and grandparents to two grandsons. Adult life has encompassed pastoral ministry for approximately thirty years, audio and video telecommunications, college instruction, and writing. The author and his wife currently reside in the Phoenix, Arizona area.

Smashwords Interview

What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
To know that my life has a specific purpose. Although I've never aspired to governmental or political office, I know that this life is a training ground for work and service in a government to come.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Like most people, there are lots of demands for time. My vocation is with a non-profit organization, so serving, administration, training, and teaching comprise a large part of my life. Writing is a passion and hobby, but not front and center.
