The Demonic Chronicles

I generally only write a review when I absolutely love or hate something, and I have nothing but love for this series. It's like a much darker, sexier, less humorous Dresdenverse. Fans of The Dresden Files will enjoy these stories for sure. I say this as a huge Dresden fan myself. The author is also clearly a fan, as his bio states. The complicated father daughter relationship between the two main characters even seems to be inspirited by the relationship of Harry and Molly. But I wouldn't call The Demonic Chronicles a mere fan fiction, because the characters and story can definitely stand on their own, and be enjoyed by non-Dresden fans as well, for the emotional depth, intense action, chilling horror, and of course, the steaming hot taboo sex.

No real character motivation. Both characters are both retarded horny for no known reason and don't think twice about committing incest. The sex is way too fast-paced and completely un-enticing.

Wow, taboo isn't a strong enough term. Incredibly twisted and searing hot is more like it. I love the mix of genres, Western, Supernatural Horror, and Fantasy. There are several very different women characters, and each of them are enticingly described with great detail. The action scenes are thrilling, the sex scenes arousing, and over all the story is outstanding.

The writing style is so sophomoric it leaves every sentence devoid of emotion. The entire story is a dream, which would diminish the excitement and arousal substantially if it weren't already completely bland and boring.

A lot of erotica writers are clearing only trying to make some easy money, and it shows in their heaps of poorly written stories. That is Not the case here. Esmeralda Greene wrought this story with real passion, a skillful style, and meticulous detail. I also love that she has the balls to publish a true father/daughter incest story rather then another watered-down step-father/step-daughter pseudo-incest. I highly recommend this story.

While this story certainly doesn't contain the most believable scenarios, the sheer level of detail in the sex scenes makes up for the unrealistic setup. Esmeralda Greene writes her prose with the graceful elegance of a master of the craft.

I'm a huge fan of anime so I was excited to read this Moe story, but I was left disappointed. After writing over 600 erotic works you would think the author would have mastered the craft. Nope! A boring story and bland sex that reads like the work of a first time writer. Not recommend.
